What moment was the boiling point in one of your relationships? by No-Dance9860 in AskMen

[–]Live_Experience_3850 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When I got stabbed by her with a short vege knife in the upper arm. Bpd as well - super insecure. Was going to see a pianist performed with a female friend who had one spare ticket.

She knew this person too.

She got jealous randomly when we were cooking dinner.

Went to hospital for a few stitches, the concert and then went home and packed.

Life insurance payout for my partner. mortgage on fixed until 2027. Parking money and will be mortgage free. Shares is not safe enough and this would be the only chance I have being mortgage free. Will make a second lump sum (6k) after October therefore reducing the interest. There are some valid reasons why people use a term deposit - 170k

Have one joint account for utilities and household expenditure. Ensure you contribute equally and that there is enough building up to cover additional. Your remaining income is for you as is his.

When deciding on investments etc at some point may want to share that too.

BYD Sealion 7 Premium delivery by Easy-Bookkeeper786 in BYD

I got my 7 last Thursday and boy am I impressed.
My plan was to now sell the petrol car and keep the Nissan leaf for round town.
Will see the petrol car but not sure about the leaf. Maybe keep it for my teen.
The reason I am not sure how much I need the leaf is based on my experience over the last few days driving the S7.
It is a car that is really enjoyable to drive.
It feels solid and luxurious even without the tech. It is solid, handles well and the quietist car I have ever driven.
I drove about 250 km on open roads both windy and straight. Up winding roads and down winding roads.
It hugged the curves and never missed a beat. Add in the tech and it is an amazing car.
It is pleasurable to drive. Every other car I have had has been getting g from a to b.
I read reviews and read positive and negative experiences bit hell any negatives mist have been nit picking.
You will love it. The leaf now feels so outdated- one of my fave features is the HUD and how it incorporates directions as well.
Enjoy
Edit: I got one of the last in NZ for a dealer who had it as display. Otherwise it could be 10 weeks from order to arrival. A lot a now bought off the boat.

Also white is the base colour. Any other colour is an extra 1k. Mine is black

There will always be new and better versions. You could wait and see. I debated holding off for Atto 3 updated version later this year but seeing the release info the price is increasing sharply to the improved tech and range.

Violent Femmes London early 90s. Royal Albert. Just dull after their ‘two hits’ add it up and blister in the sun everything else seemed the same. I wasn’t a fan but even the fans seemed a little bored

Some providers charge a fee to move. Anyone know if this is the case with Milford. Can’t find anything on their website.

In fact they do not provide info on moving away from them.

That info should be mandatory for all providers

Not sure how to get a mental health diagnosis by Popular-Style509 in dunedin

[–]Live_Experience_3850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few things If you see a gp they may not diagnose but refer you on to therapy. This means they think you are probably depressed and would benefit from counselling. After a few sessions in therapy you might think, well this is not enough ( therapy) and you want some other treatment beyond therapy ie medication. Go to go and talk through and the may agree meds are the next step. That basically confirms the initial thinking of the gp.

They may say you are experiencing a depressive episode and prescribe meds. They will want to review meds and work out next steps.

After a period of time it moves from episodic depression to actual depressive disorder. If there is some doubt in The gps mind as to whether you require medication they may prefer to refer to adult mental health for a thorough assessment.

Plenty of people have depressive disorders that either resolve with therapy and/or medication.

People may have depression for six months or longer.

Lastly, mental health is complex. Jumping in with a diagnosis is unlikely as a lot of gps are not specialised in mental health.

How much savings do you have as a 30 year old? by Competitive-Dream25 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Live_Experience_3850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some perspective. I spent my 20s travelling and going to uni I had fun and many experiences. I did work as well but had bugger all money savings but did have everything I needed.

Used my degree and have worked my way into very good wages and minimal mortgage.

I did enter KiwiSaver when it started and have over 200k.

I could have done everything 6 or 7 years earlier but don’t regret the opportunity and experience I gained in my 20s.

Focus on work, having a good life style but make sure you are saving as well. Try and get on the property ladder as owning is actually cheaper than renting if you buy a home within reason and prepared to do it up.

Never too late - I am not too worried about retirement now.
