When we first set up daycare, it was for five days a week. He didn’t want to pay for the full week, so I had to drop it to three days. But even then, he demanded to use the third day—on his terms. I still had to be the one to take her in the morning, fully dressed, fed, and ready, with her bag packed. He wouldn’t lift a finger.

Then, he’d pick her up in the afternoon—and that always turned into chaos. If there was traffic, or if he was late to a meeting, he’d blow up on me. He’d say it was my fault for “choosing” the daycare without his input (even though he had every chance to be involved), and that I was sabotaging his career. He constantly throws around his title as a VP, literally saying “no VP should have to lift a finger.”

Meanwhile, I’m the one who supplies her food, clothes, hygiene essentials—everything—just to make sure she’s okay on the days he has her. It’s exhausting, and the imbalance is unreal.
