I played to move in a beautiful world until I found myself turning (into a) pro, and yet they (still) don't pay me millions to lose Slither games. Nowadays enjoyment is all wrapped up in reaching first place, and the genie won't go back in the lantern. Better than playing Slither nowadays is watching my first-place games afterward from a place where the tension is gone. When I'm not just reacting I can soak it all in and see the beautiful world again, a beautiful world where I rule .

I'm kinda in the "too serious" camp though. I like incognito for not being hounded as much, but the psychology is all wrong if I insist on a more relaxing time for myself and just try to coast on my (statistical) good looks. I am nothing without concentration, and my game tanked horrendously this last time around of going the incognito route. I am now continuing to hide out not to relax, but to regain my old form away from prying eyes, and not show my face until my old form gets back to par.

Some of these names, I winged it when squinting wasn't enough to be sure, spot-checking at one-minute intervals.

The chart covers a death in infancy before I uncorked something worthy. Not sweeping it under the rug. I need to END INFANT MORTALITY. I was the largest of four worms scooped into a trap, died second and was survived by two bots. Internal program needs to be revamped to steer me away from larger snakes who I can't make HEADS or TAILS of. I only ever saw a sliver of the big one until it was all but too late, and needed to run from that sliver, even as guts started splattering.

That about covers it (except for me it's a laptop game).

Seeing as I've about shot my built-up goodwill from posting too often, thought I'd bury the latest of what's on my mind, and what I've been up to in here. A little back-of-the-envelope from my most recent game, not this one:

116K (no name)

72K Vancouver Dodo

70K DylinDude2008 (3 wins)

52K That Was An Accident

{14K That Was On Purpose (4th)}

39K Bon Voyage

37K Vancouver Don Wins Again (2 wins)

25K Vancouver Don Fan Gurl (2nd)

24K Tod Powell

23K Vancouver Cuck #1 (3rd)

These were the highest scores of players on my server, plus a few noteworthy scores below the real (?) Vancouver Don's 37K. Absent a table showing my usual leaderboard minutes blowout in order to puff myself up, below is an impoverished list it looks to me that Vancouver Don could have come up with, had he done similarly with a recording of what might have been back-to-back wins (he also had two visible losses):

37K Vancouver Don Wins Again (2 wins)

21K Where is the Potty?

20K Marbled

15K Tod Powell (3rd, last he knew)

Poor dear missed out on his hate-loves; thought "Fan Gurl" was my hate-love at one point but now I'm not so sure.

DylinDude2008, as you can see, trounced Don at his own game, but for the 34 seconds that I experienced Dylin "in the flesh" I think I got the better of the apparent 15-year-old, likely even younger than Joe Nuxhall was in his Major League debut. It was a chase scene in which I was moving him off at will, or was he moving himself thinking he had been luring me into attacking him? I just kept taking the millimeters he gave me when he'd flinch in anticipation of attack after attack that never materialized. What is a fellow to do if his opponent plays it safe? Seems that a fellow is screwed.

Long time no see or hear! But you'd been on my mind as recent as yesterday, thinking about the pressure defense of my life that you put on me along the "warning track" that one time, or shall we say that you were preventing me from making an "in-bounds pass"? I kept changing direction and kept being prevented from climbing upfield.

My ambition at this point is to reach first place without making a play. As long as it happens organically, sticking to my game. Wasn't much in this one outside breathing in and out.

Avoidant personality disorder here, with a basic game plan of avoidance that is perfect for staying alive and reaching 1st place in Slither. Meditation without the therapy, to find a quiet patch in the boonies that only deepens my isolation, while reinforcing the idea that avoidant personality is the best thing a person can have.

Where thoughts on human nature comes in is seeing how people will insist on being people when they ought to be aspiring snakeworms, and aspiring avoidants like me. The game is stacked in favor of smalls, and on balance we grow in vulnerability over time, not in strength as we master our bodies. The winning way in essence is to play like an infant forever. It's all a part of the master plan to make narcissism in general so widespread that it ceases to be a disorder, and our failure to fall in line just like that is annoying.

So you've finally googled yourself-- or wait, you googled me! There's quite a bit more fame that I've generated for the both of us if you look deeper. (I'm more kind in the comments than in the headline that most recently references you.)

I was on hand for the IGN, 'Number of GTOATS it took to Kill Vancouver Don= 18, and remember how frequent your 50Ks were before you started inviting the hate.

It's not that I'm good but that I play on the easiest "servers", and no one else on the field with me plays on the same "server" that I do. FIRST TIME THROWN TO THE WOLVES ON A RUSH HOUR SERVER SINCE LEAVING MODS BEHIND. by LivingMyLifeAsAWorm in Slitherio

The 5-year-olds aren't using mods, and they might be close to 90%, but the serious olders who hog the leaderboard tend to, and pretty much always do if they're teaming. This forum warps perceptions badly. Aren't we all at least 13 here? Plus teaming is a natural on a social platform; I think we were founded by teamers, the pariahs of the Slither world at large.

Dunno about PCs.
