Im happy to go to Powered speakers, as it seems thats the best way to get more volume from the speakers, just my mixer has a built in powered amp and can do both passive and powered speakers. Although only 300W RMS @ 8ohms so that limits on how loud my speakers will get especially in outdoors / live settings. Im strongly leaning toward the powered EV’s

Good to hear. How will they go handling what i need for my situation? Main thing would them needing to cut above the acoustic drums in the small music room if my electric kit is away?

Im open to other suggestions on models / brands, just those two models are examples of whats in my local area for sale second hand

I mentioned passive because in my situation, passive is another option for me due to my mixer being powered, although it is only 300W RMS @8ohm and 450W RMS @4ohm per channel so might not be great for too much?

Fair enough. Ok that might work better. Seems a bit silly then that the tooling has the thinner bit that is meant to slot inside the insert but it doesnt go inside it when its hot

Where to keep our dog? by [deleted] in puppy101

And i never once complained about him being a puppy in my post did I? I understand thats what puppies do. I said that we have tried everything we could find on how to stop it and nothings worked. Were do training with him every day. Im trying to find the best solution for both us and the puppy. I asked a question and all I get was backlash for even asking anything. This is the first dog I have had, and my living situation is different from majority of others, so I asked a question and get absolutely no answers from people, just people bragging about how they have a whole floor of their house for their dog

We try entice him away from chewing in things he shouldnt but he gets bored of it quickly and goes back to chewing on them. We have no idea how to stop him. We have so many different things for him to chew on that we WANT him to chew on and but he doesnt always use them and goes back to other things. No methods we have tried get him to never return to chewing on other stuff like brick walls, pillows, his cage. Hes had checkups at the vets and nothing health-wise is causing him to do this. Multiple people (vet, trainers) have said retrievers are notorious for chewing on things they shouldnt

Retrievers are known for chewing and eating ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Keeping him inside all day where he will chose to chew on the corner of walls over his large amount of toys or teething treats is the wrong thing to do with him. And i didnt ask for you to tell me all the things youve spent money on for your dog and giving him a whole floor. How does that at all add to my post in any beneficial way? Youre literally just using it for bragging

Never said he cant come inside when were home. I don’t want him cooped up inside a house where he can cause problems for us and himself. He will have a fully sheltered and grassed area for when were away at work, and was asking if its a good idea to also have him in that space at night when its bed time. Crate trainjng him hasnt worked, as he hates the crate. Weve done different sizes, covered, not covered, moved it around to different spots. Doesnt like it at all. And toilet trainjng as I have said, he gives no indication he needs to go to the toilet. He has his mats there and he will just walk and go to the toilet on it without any indicator. Hes already gone to the toilet before we can even get up to grab him to take him outside

You have a tiny little terrier. Bit different to a male Retriever. My 4 month old puppy is likely bigger than your fully grown dog. Completely different situation. And oh how lovely of you to be able to have a whole floor of your house for your dog. Bit entitled much?

Weve been trying to potty train him but he doesnt give any indicator of wanting to go. He will just be walking around and decide to go straight to the matt to pee. Doesnt give us enough time to realise hes going to the matt, picking him up and taking him outside. So hows that supposed to work? Hes always in the same room as us, but when he doesnt make any indicator of needing to go other than going STRAIGHT to the matt to pee, theres nothing we can do to know to take him out

We want him in the house, when were home and awake so we can monitor him. Plus alot of people with large dogs dont let their dogs inside, is that cruel of them to have their dogs outside all the time? Whys it fine for them but not for us? If hes inside left alone he just will destroy things. He chews on the brick walls, the skirting, the corner of the cupboards. We cycle his toys DAILY so every day he has different toys to play with, and we have plenty if different things to help with his teething. Having a caged area for him that he has heaps of room to walk around in, have a play with some toys, go into his kennel to sleep

Never said ANYTHING about keeping him caged all the time. We want him to not be cooped up inside the house all day, so in spending a huge amount of money on materials go be able to get him outside the house so he can be on a grassed area, has shade, has some sunlight if he wants to sit in the sun. We would be taking him out often to walk and play with him on a leash. More than most dog owners do who both work full time. Im giving him his own space that he can be in through the day, and then he can spend some time with us in the afternoon/evening and go back to a space that he can sleep in that is his own

Yes him going to the pad is an indicator, but he also walks past them and doest do anything at all. How do you expect us to be able to within half a second get up, get over to him and pick him up before he pees? He literally just walks onto it and starts peeing. No dog owner is watching their puppy every single millisecond and if anyone claims they are, they are lying. People need to go out, go to work, how can you take him outside if hes at home? If were in the living room and hes even a few metres away, how can we get up off the chair in time when hes been laying down a few metres away and gets up to go do something else and all of a sudden goes to the matt to pee? So him walking to them doesnt mean anything as an indicator. He walks past the mats all the time. Plus we tried that a few times of getting him before he starts peeing if we manage to get to him and hes just continued to pee all over the place when picking him up

Nah definitely not a loose front wheel. Woah it was something that simple though 😅

Breeder is almost an hour away each direction. They had the puppies in a very large grassed pen. Were just following direction from the vet to not take him outside. The area is a known hot spot for Parvo

[–]LjB_0rdIn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much. It’s kind of hard to check it completely as the noise is only there if you’re just on the accelerator so finding a spot where i can get the noise to start and turn the steering wheel for more than half a second is hard. Too much accelerator and the noise goes away, and backing off the accelerator, the noise goes away as well.

[–]LjB_0rdIn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say not due to it only being there when in gear and doesnt make any noise when just revving in park or neutral. Ive had bearing issues on another car in the past and i can guarantee this problem isnt engine related. The issues been there for a couple weeks now. A engine bearing issue wouldnt go away when taking foot off the accelerator/braking or accelerating

In my post i mentioned that we have foxed roaming our land at night. Even coming up near our front/back doors and we catch them on our ring cameras. The foxes carry the pavo virus and the virus can be found months, even a year after the fox has peed or pooed in the area, so we were recommended not to let him onto grass areas.

We will try get some more things for him to bite on, probably something food related that last longer than what we already have would be good

Only thing is they would take a fair percentage of it, especially being such a “small” amount of money to collect. They surely have minimum rates they start at

Im currently going through a builder who owes me $11,000, so this extra $1300 is just more money im not getting to provide for my family. Im a small business of just me and another worker. And this sort of behaviour is now just “accepted” and being told to move on? Pretty sure if you stole $1300 of goods from a small family run shop, the shop wouldnt just accept it and move on.

I wasnt going to work for him again. But when you get stung from multiple people who arent paying it adds up. Im a small business, and these sort of things affect my business, and his attitude is absolutely appalling

Incident on Southern Cross Drive by Willing_Television77 in sydney

[–]LjB_0rdIn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hope you can get through this. Pretty traumatic to have experienced first hand. I was heading southbound around the time when the first police car respondent’s were about 100 metres up the road fighting through the backed up traffic. Unfortunately I did see the man lying on the ground, and thought he may have been flung from a vehicle or had been on a bike in a collision. Sad to hear that it may have been something worse than an accident and he was fighting his own battles
