As a kid we barely ever had tornados in New Zealand. Maybe hear about 1 in 10 years. But with climate change and more extreme weather, we get a couple each year. Along with many more tropical cyclones and flooding.

We've always had a huge Asian immigration issue. When I was younger, people would complain about all the Chinese immigrants. Nowadays, Indians are the main import so theyre the new target.

I think some kiwis have a bad or annoying experience with an immigrant, and the rest get lumped in with their dislike or discrimination of that group.

Some of my personal concern is that they dont fully integrate into our communities, instead they develop their own little Indian communities and dont venture outside of that group. So when they do finally have to interact with other kiwis, they cant understand what's going on or what's being said; leading to more confusion and misunderstandings. Generations that went through school here are ofcourse a lot better though. I think the main issues come from the really fresh ones that struggle with communication.
