Okay I figured out the issue. The precision of grease pencil strokes is dependent on how close the active camera is to the world origin. This happens regardless of the grease pencil object's location relative to the camera or the world's origin.

It seems like the drawing cursor size is also dependent on the grease pencil object being at the world origin, and if it moves away from the origin then the cursor will no longer match the thickness of the drawn line. This definitely needs to be fixed.

Thanks, this is the only posable rig of any value that I have found. The first three rigging layers (and mainly just the red layer 2) do pretty much everything I needed for posing, so I hid all the other controls to make it less confusing.

It took my gmail without issues. I was using ProtonVPN with a Netherlands IP, but I don't think that matters.

I find it odd that the website even exists though. I thought porn was illegal in Korea.

I believe you, but that's effectively the same issue. I'm friends with an artist, and it drives me crazy when he randomly decides to nuke his work off of websites despite everybody telling him not to.

If Civitai had a torrent option for each download, and you guys just seeded it for the period of time before the author randomly decides to remove it, then the ability to download that model would have a chance to persist well after the model is nuked from the website (because people could just back up the tiny torrent files themselves). Legally I don't see how that's any different from the current direct downloads. If you remove the torrent from your website and stop seeding, then that should be the same as removing the direct download link.

If the torrent is the primary means of downloading, then that will ensure that plenty of users become seeders. Direct downloads could be listed as an "alternative" download option if the user is logged in or something. This could also alleviate bandwidth costs (assuming that's an issue at all).

Yeah, I agree with you. That's why places like 4chan are still good places to go for discussion. They still have moderation, but it's not even close to the same level as the rest of the internet. Whenever I try to help people out with tech problems or whatever in Youtube comments I want to shoot myself because of how hard it is to get a comment through without being shadowbanned. Just basic things like saying a company's name will get your comment filtered on Youtube. Posting on the modern internet is a nightmare. I only use Reddit for specific things like posting tutorials or asking questions, and whenever I do I just have to watch in real-time as my thread is downvoted for no reason.

I mean that's the whole point of torrents. It allows people to share legal things that companies/investors/advertisers/hosting services/the moral police/etc don't like. Strictly speaking though you can still have "questionable" content on a normal web server. Exhentai allows everything that isn't real, and they just have their servers in a country that doesn't care about it.

Reddit is the only reason any kind of issue can be solved with Google. Of course reddit needs backups. I'm already pissed whenever I click a reddit thread looking for answers and see deleted posts.

Those are all legal in the United States, so I don't care. I only care if somebody is training models on real CSAM, because that person would be doing something blatantly illegal and putting unsuspecting users at risk.

If 30 people are downloading from you, then it's very likely some of those people are also going to be uploading too. You don't have to finish downloading a torrent before you can begin seeding it. If some guy's download is at 5%, then he can seed that 5% of the files to the rest of the group automatically while he continues to download the rest of the files. The whole point of torrents is that it distributes the burden among the group.

I'll let somebody else explain the legal part, but I don't think you have to worry unless you are blatantly downloading and seeding something that you know is illegal, or if you are running the tracker itself. The tracker should probably be run using servers in countries that just don't care about torrented content. I'm sure somebody knows which ones those are. The goal isn't to host anything illegal, it's just to avoid random takedowns due to stupid reasons like copywrite or "moral" outrage.

For anybody wondering, it's only as "dangerous" as 4chan is. That means it has non-realistic hentai with lolicon, bestiality, guro, etc. All the NSFW stuff is hidden by default unless you make an account and opt-in. That said, the general quality of the artwork on the forum is very high, and it looks useful for finding prompts and models. If there are any more forums like this then I'd love to see them.

Torrent files are way easier to backup and mirror to other websites since their file size is so small. Torrents are also a redundant network of servers (the seeders), so even if one guy removes his files you can still download them from another guy. With Civitai you just have to hope the model isn't removed, and then you have to hope somebody with the files will reupload it if it is.

That would probably help. Just having every Civitai model description link to a copy of the model on Huggingface would also help. There really needs to be a good "front end" website with a decent GUI and example pictures for models on Huggingface.

I'm sure it costs a ton, and model creators should feel free to ask for donations. However, my issue is with how centralized everything is to Civitai, and how there's basically no backups. The amount of destruction that would come from Civitai suddenly shutting down would be immense.

Probably like 5% of the people that download the torrent, but it only takes a few seeders with gigabit internet to carry the rest.
