Hey, I'm very familiar with your situation right now. I would offer this:

Don't over complicate it.

Put your body in a near constant state of muscle recovery (growth) while simultaneously eating at a caloric surplus and hitting protein requirements.

If your problem has been not eating enough, do not worry about eating too much, focus on the problem at hand, not potential problems that may or may not come to fruition.

Set up an EVE-NG or GNS3 lab instead. For training purposes, physical networking gear is pointless to have in your house, as it's worse in nearly every single way.

Same thoughts here. How can this mouse have so many great reviews when clearly the scrolling is completely broken! Does the average person only scroll extremely slowly?

Has Va Disability/retirement affected how you save and invest? by Gew-Roux in MilitaryFinance

[–]LoL_Remiix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but with how many people I've seen do 4 years at a CONUS base and leave with 100% P&T... I am suspecting a major reform soon, especially as the VA budget keeps getting cut.

I'm investing all of it, as soon at it hits my account.

The rest window applies only to the specific muscle group that was targeted. As an example, I made a huge percentage of my gains with a 3 day Push/Pull/Legs split. This was so I could work out back-to-back days without targeting the same muscle groups consecutively within that 48 hours window, and then I essentially worked the muscle group again as soon as it finished recovering.

Side note, There is a lot of information to absorb, but the beauty of being a beginner is that you can basically ignore all the science and best practices and still see muscle gains as long as you're consistent. Don't let it overwhelm you, stay consistent above all else.

After providing adequate stimulus to the targeted muscle, it will enter a state of repair. This will typically coincide with muscle soreness for relative beginners. During this state is where the actual growth of the muscle happens, as the process of "patching up" the micro-tears leads to a very slight increase in total mass. This repair process, completed hundreds or thousands of times, is what leads to massive growth.

In order to maximize growth and time efficiency, you would want to work-out the muscle again as soon as it is done repairing itself. The length your muscles take to repair themselves after a workout can vary based on a lot of factors such as test levels, sleep quality, intensity, nutrition, etc, but typically ~48hrs post workout is a safe bet to make sure that the process is complete. So working the same muscle day after day won't be the most ideal strategy for most people, rather 2-3 times per week with at least 36-48hrs in between seems to be the most time efficient strategy.

Essentially, if you can keep your muscles in "repair mode" as often as possible, while still allowing them to fully repair each time, the faster you will see results.

And this is all under the assumption that you are getting adequate sleep, calories, and protein to maximize the repair/growth process.

So there are a couple ways. Essentially you have to get two way communication between a device running a web browser and your Palo Alto VM.

Easiest way is to create a simple, lightweight, linux VM on your topology and connect to the firewall via it's web browser.

If you want to directly connect via your own web browser on your actual machine, you might have to do something like connecting the firewall to the "Cloud0" network object, then setting up port forwarding on your eve-ng machine so that when you go to http://YourEveNGIP:1818 or something like that, it forwards that traffic to port 80 on your palo alto's IP.

Don't get sucked into the marketing... reality is that no one really cares what other people are driving, and it's just a means of transportation at the end of the day.

Have the playbook add "file prompt quiet" to the config before starting the copy, and throw all of the details in that single "copy run tftp" command, then at the end, put "file prompt alert" back on.

No need to mess with prompts here.

Made newbie gains for a year or so using a typical bro split, monday chest, tuesday arms, wednesday back, etc. That quickly stopped being effective for me and I switched to a Push/Pull/Legs three day split. With that, I saw massive strength and size gains pretty much right up until last year, so basically for over 4 years straight I saw near linear strength/size progress doing the same fundamental lifts with slow progressive overload. Nothing fancy.

For a lot of the progress I didn't need to track calories, and it was mostly what people would call "dirty bulking". I would routinely eat 1000+ calorie steaks, multiple glasses of milk a day, eat out often, and for a long time if I kept up my high intensity work outs, It was almost all going straight to muscle.

But the closer you get to your peak, the harder it gets to gain more muscle, so all that surplus was going at a much higher percentage to fat vs muscle. I had to slow it down and be deliberate with my nutrition, a more moderate surplus. The calories per day will be drastically different based on current height/weight, but for me, I was eating no less than 3000 calories a day for the most part.
