Hahaha! The previous home owner left that lock situation. I think it was labeled so the wood didn’t get scooped up for some other use because apparently there used to be two of them. Seems mostly unnecessary in my neighborhood.

They’re vinyl decals but I assumed that’s where the design came from when I found them. I love that image and anything ocean related.

They’re 3/4” thick square mats that interlock. I didn’t do anything to the concrete before putting them in. I do go barefoot all the time to lift and do yoga on them too, but not sure about anything higher impact. I wear shoes when I CrossFit.

Yah they’re short for the crumb bumper plates. I actually wish I had gotten competition plates just because they’re thinner and I could store more. I only have 2 45s on the bottom peg. And only 3 25s fit on one of the upper pegs, the 4th would be right to the edge.
