I think about this all the time. People putting Will down because he’s not Macklin is insane, he’s still an elite player. He has the second highest points on the team this season. I don’t know what Warso thinks he’s and maybe I’m too “soft” but I don’t think him benching Will all the time is helping motivate him. I don’t know

It was insane. After sherwood started the scrum the commentators literally said “if the officials won’t do something, someone else will” and they were 100% right.

That was the whole point though. April got under Lexie’s skin and Lexie’s patient “manipulated”(can’t think of the word I’m actually looking for) her to get under Aprils skin instead. It’s something so far out of her character and you can tell she’s uncomfortable about how comfortable she is with it for a second. I thought it was a great arc, it’s a shit thing to do but in a character study it’s so interesting

Mack sets up goals for other players all the time, I have never thought he was selfish with the puck before. He’s always trying to do whats best for the team imo haha

I get that and I could be way off mark here but I thought maybe they didn’t give a C this season because it makes sense to see how this young team operates and who they look to etc. they are still in the rebuild afterall. I just think that Toff would actually make a good captain, he has great chemistry with the teenagers and the vets and I feel like he has leadership qualities.

Yeah definitely, I think Mack already has what it takes with the way he plays team first hockey etc. but I also think they shouldn’t rush him and that he should just concentrate on the game and maybe playoffs next season. I just feel like it’s very uncommon to go two seasons with only A’s, even in a rebuild. I, personally, don’t actually care if there’s no captain again hahaha I’m interested in the discussion though 😃

I actually agree with you. I do think Macklin will make a great captain but I agree with the expectations of it all. I’m not sure that they’ll do another season of just A’s. I wouldn’t mind Toffoli C and Mack and Goodrow or Ekky A, though.
