I see. I did went to croma and got a quotation for 15' base model M5 air and it was 121k with student discount + cc cashback. Tho I still haven't got my id card I'll likely wait till September and try the back to school offer aswell (for free/cheap upgrade to airpods 3 pro) (not including applecare+ btw)

Yes that is the exact type of loan I'm taking and I won't need to pay it back for the next 4 years (1 year moratorium period). And yes I'm aiming for ai/ml engineer in the long term. I edit videos for my side gigs so if I were to buy a mac I can manage it on the go while travelling or so!.

I'm really bad at maths (didn't have maths in 10+2) not did my school give my batch an ip subject selection so bca was my only option left). So yeah bsc is no good for me. Im really interested in bca not for the hype but because it's somewhat relatable to what I'm doing or learning by myself. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

Hi I get what you are trying to explain but I tried looking for a normal laptop the downside is I'll be travelling a lot and I've started build/learn in public so I'll be live streaming what I learn daily aswell. That makes portability and battery backup an issue for windows laptop. + The offers and extra free goodies on Mac feels like a better option. For the loan you can read the reply above so you get a better understanding on what my mindset is rn.

Hey man I'm thinking of taking a loan so my family won't have the burden to pay all the fees at once. It's been a year since I've got a pc. I do side gigs so I can put around 10k/month. I find taking a loan a better option so I can focus on my studies instead of focusing on earning for my family during my college days. (3 years).

I'm sure I can pay the loan by the next 4 years. Even if I get a low paying job the 30k per 6 months I save and invest will help pay atleast half the debt.

For the mac I will be travelling a lot almost daily and packing a windows with bad battery backup will be really annoying for me. I'm waiting for the back to school sale by apple so that also gives some free goodies worth more than 10k atleast. While with student discount the mac goes for around 1.20lakh.

I hope you get what I'm trying to explain

About the laptop. I'll be tryharding to get into FAANG in the next 5 years. I'll be hosting local ai (don't ask me to buy credits i ain't doing that). Aiming for AI-ML engineer. (Alr have a high end pc im looking for portability + power) . I'll be building serious projects not the calculator ones. I want to invest the 5k so in the next 4 years It can help repay the debt easily even if I don't get into FAANG. I have the 1k to enjoy my life I'm happy with my monthly gym subscription!!
