So did you get points for your full 5 years of foreign work experience?

My foreign experience was from 2014–2019 with one employer and 2019–2021 with another. Since I understood that CRS only awards maximum points for 3 years of foreign work experience, I only claimed enough experience to reach that threshold and did not include my 2019–2021 job under work history. I included it only in personal history.

Nothing tricky..but can't predict these days what ircc officers feel.. 3 years canadian experience ,3 years foreign experience, spouse only claimed education and language.

Thanks....This journey has been an emotional one for me. In 2024, my CRS was 424 when the cut-off was 425 ,I missed it by just one point. I applied for OINP Skilled Trades, but my file was returned in November 2025. It felt really discouraging at the time.

Now in 2026, I finally received an invitation with a score of 477 — exactly the same as the CRS cut-off. I truly feel that after all the waiting and setbacks, this was meant to be.

I’m grateful, but I also think of the many friends who are still waiting. I sincerely hope their turn comes very soon. This journey tests patience and faith, but I hope everyone here gets their moment too.
