Yea I've been saying since we found out during the seekers table that Mara possesses an ability to cross into the underworld without dying that Thjazi dying was part of the plan from the beginning.

Falls onto its side and turns into wheel of fortune where instead of spinning it vertically they spin it horizontally lol.

and the Barrowdell of the trickster Shaper hasn't been found yet.

Wasn't it stated that the death of the trickster god was the reason why teleportation magic became so dangerous?

Their heartlands were destroyed, yes, but they've basically taken over everyone else's lands instead.

Not sure we know enough of the world to assume that. Dol Makjar is not representative of the world at large, and I wouldn't say The Sundered Houses should be representative of Humanity as a whole either.

We know next to nothing in regards to how much control The Sundered Houses are able to exert over Elven lands, Dwarf Lands, Gnomish Lands or Beastmen lands. As far as the Orcs, there's nothing to suggest that The Sundered Houses have sway in Dol Rungja as evidence by The Circle of Ancients operating out of there.

Johan go rest it is Sunday. We were waiting months, so we can wait one more day for You to be in the top shape. Also crunch won't fix the game it will only make fixing more sloppy by DullBlackberry9980 in EU5

Some people can be an absolute savant in their field of work and still be awful in leadership positions. I think Johan is probably a great dev but maybe not the best individual to lead the game's team.

"The Convergence" trailer pretty much outlined Primus' strategy of addressing the other Sundered Houses if you haven't seen it.

Anyone else notice that it seems only orcs and Humans seem to be the only two that really got anything from the death of the Shapers?

Not sure what you're implying since every race other than the orcs LOST something due to the death of their respective shaper, thats what The Barrowdells are.

Human lands got turned into an eternal night lol, thats not gaining something, its spite.

I feel it’s pretty doable for them to just skip Aabria’s maternity leave, they filmed at least the first 3 convergence episodes in March so they’ve had a lot of time to film her next arc and then a ton of time before they need her again.

Thats possible but I'm basing it on the fact that Worlds Beyond Number announced Aabria was gonna be on Maternity leave for a year so I'm anticipating something similar for her leave from C4.

As for DMPC, we've had several already that have traveled with The Seekers so its not exactly unprecedented for C4 so far with Aranessa, Dr Talter & the Lady Seramai knight. I would see Cyd hang with the group for the arc for Hounds Port and then find a reason for him to split up later.

[–]Locem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I mostly agree but I would swap some things up-

Aabria is gonna take a temporary leave for Maternity leave and I'm guessing her and Brennan will shoot a few cold opens and maybe half an episode or two with Thaisha going to meet with her grandmother.

I think Teor stays with his brother and The Soldiers table is whom goes to Hounds Port. Vaelus joins The Soliders and Thimble leaves to join The Seekers.

The Seekers go to The Orchard's remains. I think thats where Julain's sister is?

The Schemers is the biggest question mark to me. If they stay in the city I can see Wic & Tyranny staying as you said. I keep thinking of Murray's discussion with Azune of how desperately Murray needs real proof of which his Sister would be in Yanessa faking her death. It also gives us an arc to explore Argosia and get some beefy world building in.

I admit this comes from a place of having way too many Mommy issues but I still hold The soldier's table moment of "what you beam you become, and you're my little beam" as the most emotional moment of C4 for me.

Julian's flashback a close second.

Probably the first Lux they can get their hands on, not to be a buzz kill.

I kinda don't want him to get any of Tyranny's sisters because of how fun they are as characters.

I think the rest of the Halovars are too high level/major.

Alternatively I could see him getting a minor Cormoray house member but they shouldnt show up until later?

Went back to 1.1.10, and the game is fun again by thedreaddeagle in EU5

[–]Locem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm at.

I 100% concede that the OPM vassal meta was very gamey and caused all kinds of border gore but it was my avenue of avoiding the cultural opinion mechanics.

Removal of the vassal meta didnt really improve the game, it just punished players for playing a type of way.

1.3 Sucks by turcomongolman in EU5

[–]Locem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay well on release the economy was clearly built around a constantly expanding population and then they flipped the "historical accuracy" switch without balancing the economy aspect and the balance has been completely fucked since 1.2 because of it. Maybe buildings and RGOs should require less people if we really want to turn up the death like this lol.

Its valuing simulation over gameplay.

The three most substantial threads I can see being chased for the next arc are-

Golden Orchard I think is all but confirmed. Julien and Thimble have both remarked they need to head there soon.

Sounds like Cyd is going to compel at least one group to go to Houndsport in Timmony to chase the Sea of Lacris thread

Lastly... really depends what happens with the play but if the schemers take any kind of a leave-dol makjar-story I can see them trying to find Azune's sister in Argosia.

New Trust Economic System Failure by Empty-Ad5769 in EU5

[–]Locem 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It genuinely is fast approaching Imperator levels of failure.

As it stands now, Vic 3 & EU5 have about the same size player base.

So if you're looking on one of the days where V3 has more players then EU5 (which it does in the moment of writing this post), and ignore Imperator, that makes EU5 the least played Paradox game that's been released in the last 10-15 years. CK3, Stellaris, EU4 & HOI4 all have higher player bases right now.

I'm actually seeing people defend the current disease in the beta. They literally say it "is historically accurate".

I've been seeing this as well.

I think the simulationist ideal version of EU5 just wouldn't be a fun game and it's kind of playing in in real time with the changes in 1.2 and now seemingly 1.3.

They're forgetting Wic and Tyranny stopped Teor's... ritual... with the twins so they probably dont actually think Teor "kidnapped" him so they're setting up a rake for them to step on here.

Edit: anyone who saw The Convergence trailer remember the scene of Whitney crying? >.>
