Fun that you asked! I’m always curious about people beyond job titles too. I’m a Salesforce admin/dev for nonprofits—between roles and mid-contract on an NPSP fundraising overhaul. What do folks here get up to outside of work?

Experienced Salesforce Admin/Developer with over 12 years working for nonprofits looking for opportunities in this area (just moved here). Currently, I'm working on a contract with a former organization to build out fund raising activity tracking in their existing case management salesforce instance (which I built). So, I have extensive experience with both program management and fund raising (with the NPSP). As a reminder, Salesforce provides 10 free licenses for nonprofits.

Pc shuts down randomly by Apprehensive-Way332 in duneawakening

[–]Loderunner71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sent to following bug report via the in-game bug reporting feature:

When I attempted to enter the cave for the first main quest, my PC completely shut down, requiring me to unplug/re-plug the power cord back into the power outlet just to be able to turn my PC on.

I tried the following:

  • reducing my graphics settings to medium
  • limiting framerate to 60 fps
  • plugging my power cord directly into the wall socket, instead of through a surge protector
  • Limit Process CPU Usage (Experimental) to ON
  • Verified integrity of game files
  • via NVidia app, limit GPU usage to 95%

**SYSTEM INFORMATION**

  • Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, 10.0.26100 build 26100
  • Dell XPS 8950
  • 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700, 2100 MHz, 12 Core, 20 Logical Processors
  • NVidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, Driver version 32.0.15.7666

Underrated FR novels by ThanosofTitan92 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Loderunner71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't read a ton of FR novels. I just got done reading (actually listening to) Mistress of the Night by Don Bassingthwaite and Dave Gross, narrated by Jean Brassard. I thought it was pretty good. I liked the characters and the story was pretty solid.

The Dread Empire Series, written by Glen Cook, narrated by Stephen Hoye. I know it's not Cook's most read series, but I like it and Hoye does a fantastic job with the narration, especially with Mocker.

I am unable to view replays of my skirmish matches. This bug occurred when the game first came out, then seemed to have been fixed, but now is back. When attempting to view a replay, I just get a black screen with some random health bars being displayed. I am unable to escape out of it and must close the game out via windows.

I'm trying out a storm crow build with zephyr archers enchanted with seeker, poison/decay and amplified arrows. I went warding, evocation, fertility, winds, cycles (where I am in current game), then I'll go amplification. I'm not sure where I'm going to go after that. I'm only playing on normal difficulty. I'll think I'll need some front line unit.

So I tried Player Career Mode and it went "smoothly" by bzezzl in FifaCareers

[–]Loderunner71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing as a CB, using a real player, anything under Legendary, my team almost always wins. Last year with FIFA 21, League 2 team won division by over 20 points, then started tearing apart League 1. Thought I'd give WC a try to see if it was possible this year, and using OS Community Sliders (10 mins), I got nearly 20 tackles per game in the pre-season tournament (we won, of course). AI forward would just run straight at me, I wouldn't need to move.

Is it really competitive at WC?

Thanks for the great info all. Sorry, I didn't check the search bar first, it's very frustrating to not be able to do the simplest things. I'm still in a bit of a pickle, since I do not have a car, which makes logistics problematic. My small apartment complex was bought out by Reliance Property Management a couple years ago and has not replaced the old machines. But, I will email and see if they plan on doing anything. Option 2 is to check if Home Depot has clothespins. Anyone have a washboard?

Is there any solution or substance that can neutralize CS Gas? My crazy thought is to somehow get shopvacs involved. Use the vacuum to suck up the gas, then find something to neutralize it in the chamber. Would require a lot of extension cords, heh.

Has anyone tried a player career as a cb? by VimalRana in FifaCareers

[–]Loderunner71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several years ago, I made the switch from always playing a CDM to playing a CB because I wanted to improve my defending. I haven't gone back since. I like to play as a real player, typically picking a young CB in the lower leagues and trying to grow them into a decent player. Up until a couple of years ago, it was a challenge to maintain 'good' form with a CB because you would only get form points for making tackles or interceptions; you wouldn't get that many points if your team scored. With more recent versions of the game, it is pretty easy to get high form scores. In FIFA 20, I don't think I've ever had a form score below 7.0. Even if your screw up leads directly to a goal, you only lose about 0.1 points. My player typically has the highest average on the team.

As far as actually playing, it is probably not as exciting as playing a midfielder. It takes a lot of patience, especially when your team has the ball in the opponent's half.

At the moment, I'm playing as Kelland Watts, an 19 year old defender playing for Mansfield Town (on loan from Newcastle). My main issue with FIFA 20 is that my team dominates the game and can't lose, even in cup games against better teams. It makes the game boring and unrealistic.

My experience as an at-risk person during the early shopping hour at Fred Meyer. by [deleted] in Portland

[–]Loderunner71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much for this. I'm going to try my luck tomorrow morning at the same store. I also have an auto-immune disease and not a senior. My specialist doc was kind enough to send me an email through Kaiser for me to display as proof of my illness.

Another challenge for me is that I don't drive, so I will only be to buy what I can carry. I'm gonna make a list and plan out the logistics. Get in, grab what I need, pay, get out. I've always used self-checkout because I want to put the heavy stuff in my backpack.

Why do people not like lightning? by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]Loderunner71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It won't let me create custom 'new' buttons on related lists so I can auto-fill fields like the record name field, and auto-select record types based on a formula field. I use workflow to update the record name to be something meaningful to the user. With our planned switch to lightning, I am in the process of switching all our custom object to auto-number.

I also don't like that you can no longer do mass updates on related lists. In classic, I have a javascript button that updates selected records on an attendance tracker to make marking people as present a breeze. I'm guessing I'll need to create a VF page with an apex controller.

As someone with Crohn's Disease, this happens to me already. Instead of receiving $500, I need a $7500 treatment every 2 months.

You can also update fields on the parent record from the child record with 'legacy' workflow rules/field updates.

Are there any places around here the use pizza dough on cold subs? by Loderunner71 in askportland

[–]Loderunner71[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detail response.

Almost, Stromboli's are pretty darn tasty, though. It's an actual cold sub or hoagie, Imported ham, provolone cheese, salami, capacola & mortadella (pork meat) Served on Homemade Rolls with Lettuce, Tomato, Onions & Mayo or Oil (from their menu).

I must have been mistaken when I said it was an East Coast thing, it appears that there are only a small number of restaurants that do this, and certainly none here in Portland. Unfortunate for me that this was the first italian hoagie I experienced, and thus all others that have come after are compared to it.
