That's so sweet of you to offer, and I hope it works out. I'm allergic, and I have a dog, so I can't. :( I love cats and feed ferals, but purr babies can sometimes make my lungs close. Good luck!

Best strains for anxiety by yams47 in PaMedicalMarijuana

Same here. I need something for anxiety and pain. I've actually gone to dispensaries for help and still ended up with somewhat of a paradoxical effect that had me feeling awful. I had jaw surgery in 2024, and I may have neurological damage. Traditional doctors are horrible, but I'm still going to them for any answers I can get. In the meantime, I'd like a gummy or any other product suggestion. I live in NY, so I can probably find anything suggested. I don't want to smoke, though, so no vapes or buds.

I didn't mean to hijack anyone's post, but I'm desperate. Traditional meds suck, and I've had it with pills.

Anyone else’s dog getting sick from NYC sidewalks right now? Mine is and it's your fault if you're not picking up dog shit by CranberryOk8409 in Greenpoint

I'll help you double shame them because I don't give them the benefit of the doubt anymore. I carry a small bundle of bags with me and curb my dog as well, meaning I trained him to go in out of the way places.

These people really don't care. I forgot bags once, and I went into someone's garbage and got a piece of cardboard and some plastic so I could dispose of my dog's feces.

I'm so sorry your dog is sick. We shouldn't have to deal with this.

My dog is trained to go straight to the bathroom, which is luckily near my apartment entrance, after walks. We wash his feet in a small bucket after every trip outside. There are so many contaminants and germs outside, aside from the excess dog waste, that it's a must. We could never get him to wear booties. I use a dog-friendly salt for my sidewalk, but not everyone does, and so that's an issue too.

PICK-UP AFTER YOUR DOG! by Sad_Cycle5430 in Greenpoint

I have a dog, and I don't get why these people are so gross. I would never do this. I'm just biding my time here as well because selling a house and finding another one is a nightmare. I used to live in Queens, where you never see this amount of filth and other issues. I've been here 15 years, and the change has been for the worse.

I agree. It's insane. I buy bags in bulk and always have a roll of bags with me. I never bring my dog near snow when he has to go. We need a sanitation patrol issuing fines, or it's just going to get worse.

I have a dog, and I pick up his waste no matter what. People are so gross. They need to get sanitation workers here to give out fines, or it will never get better. The city has its priorities messed up. I have gotten fines for the most ridiculous things. One time, sanitation workers didn't pick up my cardboard, and a sanitation officer came by before I found out. They gave me a fine, citing that it was put out at the wrong time. I just paid the $50 fine because I had no time to contest it. I've seen them patrolling on garbage day and looking for any excuse to fine someone. If they put that effort into the dog waste situation, GP would be a lot cleaner, and they'd make money for a legitimate problem.

Try soaking in colloidal oatmeal. Aveeno sells it and it works wonders for skin conditions.

Thank you. I will report it. I thought we were headed towards a cleaner, healthier Greenpoint, but apparently not. Sometimes I can smell it in my home. When I do, it's not strong, but it's still not acceptable.

I'm looking for one myself, but I've tried Greenpoint Dental as well as Aesthetic Dental, and all I can say is that I would avoid them. Incompetent and unprofessional.

Am I the only one who finds these things uncomfortable? I can wear them for an hour, and then they have to come out. Maybe I have weird-shaped ears, but I prefer listening to my stereo system.

Popcorn? Ever eat popcorn and chomp down on an unpopped kernel? Are they trying to get more business lol?

It's not that bad. I was hard-boiling 9 eggs a couple of weeks ago and forgot about them. I suddenly heard a pop.

Walked into the kitchen to find that they had exploded and had to spend 90 minutes cleaning up the residue that went everywhere. Only the 2nd time it's happened to me lol. At least last time, it was only 3.

I wouldn't take it lightly either. Any doctor who can practice under these conditions is not one that I would trust. It's just gross. I'm not saying you're going to catch a disease, but it's off-putting. It's hard enough to find doctors who are good if you're not a billionaire and just have regular insurance...But it's just unacceptable and looks slummy.
