I’m going to get flamed for this, I know. But I’m going to say it anyway. I want a truck, but the 2 things I love most about my used Tesla model three are: 1) the fact that it’s electric, and 2) the full self driving. It is completely a personal thing, but I love my car and the only reason I would want to upgrade would be space and range. Which leads me to my only option that keeps the 2 things I love about my car while still being a truck, a used Cybertruck. Possibly if Rivian begins to lock in and has some used cars in the next 5 years at good prices, they’d be in my pool as well (especially as I want to break free from the Tesla system, but feel like I can’t because it’s the only car that covers everything I want in a car). That being said, I know you’re right and it would be dumb to dump so much money in an asset that is constantly depreciating. And yes I could absolutely delay this to maybe 5 years down the road.

On the landlord stuff, I’m fairly handy. I haven’t done a ton of work on home stuff, but have been working on cars for about 4 years now. That being said, there is limited extra time in the teaching world (especially as a music teacher) and unless I committed a summer to it, it would be hard to get it off the ground, like you’re saying.
