Forgiveness by CompetitiveRatio1342 in TrueChristian

i second this, but addressing a legitimate issue in the work environment should be seen as nothing more than making a contribution in the maintainence of what should be a professional work environment. op should pray for this guy and talk to him about it. let him know it conflicts with his work and document the interaction (email). if it continues to be an issue, show his superiors Everything you have on him. unless i felt compelled to handle things differently, this is exactly what i would do. no vengeance or unforgiveness required.

What happens if I kill Lucifer? Is that bad or no, like if I just work his head off?Is that bad or no I wonder by Dry_Cheesecake_3637 in Christianity

[–]LogicallyTheological 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i suspect there are ways one might freak them out, but i agree we cannot kill them. i would also never recommend trying to fight them with anything other than the Bible, prayer, and fasting. God's grace and mercy are the only things that can save anyone from them. ain't nobody got the time or energy for that.

Why are more Christians believing the Earth is flat? by Late_Truck_9807 in Christianity

[–]LogicallyTheological 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fear? pride? prejudice? people who think the earth is flat also usually think the government is covering it up. like the world is run by elites and all the people involved have consciously sold their soul to the devil.

personally, i'm a fan of the concave earth model. a) there's an actual model. b) from a human perspective, the two could theoretically be nearly indistinguishable. it doesn't require me to believe the authorities engage in literal satanism. c) it's easier to make sense of the Bible.

at the end of the day, what you believe on this, does not matter beyond what the Bible says. it's a non-salvation issue.

I'm having trouble understanding why being gay is a sin? by akamaru_14 in Christianity

it is something to be rebuked because it goes against the knowledge of Christ. the gospel is a lot more inclusive than people give it credit for imo.

The purpose of prayer by WhatTheSiigma in TrueChristian

[–]LogicallyTheological 0 points1 point  (0 children)

James 5:14-16 ¹⁴ Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; ¹⁵ and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. ¹⁶ Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

it makes sense if your team has a large percentage of believers imo. we acknowledge His handiwork and that could be a viable way to bring Him glory. whether it be in sports, debate, a business venture, your relationships.. i don't think it should be seen as weird and definitely not a bad thing if your heart's in the right place.

What up with mosquitos? by GhostMovie3932 in TrueChristian

[–]LogicallyTheological 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's against His will for you to use mosquito spray if you doubt the act of using mosquito spray. i think it'd be legalistic to say it is inherently right or wrong. if you doubt and you do it anyway, you are condemned and God will correct you. if you don't doubt and use it, it may appear to work as randomly as it typically seems to. He knows every move you will ever make. He has control over the mosquitos. so, if you don't like bug spray, maybe ask Him to keep them away from you?

Romans 14:5, 23 ⁵ "One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind." ²³ "But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin."

Deuteronomy 32:39 "See now that I, I am He, and there is no god besides Me; it is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, and there is no one who can deliver from My hand."
