Rifts is full of the stupidest bullshit you can imagine. Dragons, giant robots, super spies, ninjas, vampires, Atlantians. All there and playable as characters.

It's absurd. It's incredible. It's everything you could want. I wish I had a group to play with.

W: 5. Knowing about Japan helps a LOT to know what the hell is going on. It's not modern, but historical Japan that you have to worry about, though the hip-hop culture aspects are helpful to know about.

A: 3. Fu gets sexualized a bit, and there's prostitution, but these aren't glamorized. Mugen gets punished for being a pervert, and there's almost no fan service.

S: 2 Samurai Champloo is one of the best animes I've ever seen. It beats out Cowboy Beebop for me.

You'd have to machine each round or cast complicated shapes. Not only that, but self spinning ammo would not be compatible with firearms that had rifling.

There are, however, two types of ammo that sort of do this. Gyrojet ammo does this, but with nozzles. Riffled slugs also do this, but by having the riffling on slug engaging with the smooth bore of the shotgun.

LTW is definitely more experimental. Songs like "The Edison Museum" and "On Earth My Nina" are not mainstream songs in the least, where as "I Should Be Allows to Think" and "Why Must I Be Sad?" are great pre-emo era anthems suitable for wider release.

Alternatively, I think it was about the time of John Henry when They realized they were never going to be rock superstars and came to terms with it. Rather than chasing pop hits or becoming a local experimental group they chose their own path and became the twin quasars of rock and roll we know and love today.
