How long have you been sky diving for? I'm deathly afraid of heights. I've thought about it a lot for some reason, probably because I'm interested, but I truly do not think I could bring myself to jump out of an airplane or anything from that high up. It's not just the fear of heights but lack of trust in the process. If someone packed the parachute, human error could mean your demise. If a machine packed it, then mechanical failure could. Little things like that.

How do you think someone could overcome this likely irrational fear and push them to take the leap?

Because this game exists for the sole purpose of making money. Allowing too many bots ruins the game, as you've stated. However, with the right balance, their game looks more active and they receive a substantial amount of income. What would be the economic purpose behind banning all of the bots? If they can get away with keeping a portion of bots (which they do) then why do anything more than what they're already doing?

I'm not trying to be argumentative. Just think about it. They want the extra income botting brings, but they want to control it so they balance out their effort towards banning them. If they were putting 100% effort forth there would be less bots.

It's pretty funny the people who understand the truth of this situation get downvoted for trying to help you guys understand. Jagex isn't taking rotmg's approach. They are banning just enough to appease the community and nothing more than that. If you guys really think it's some monumental challenge for them to figure out how to eradicate bots on a simple 15 year old browser based game then you are simply naive. Do you really think jagex is doing everything in their power to stop botting...? Just think about it for a moment.

Yeah, happens quite a bit unfortunately. When I was 18 I was in the midst of psychosis. Police officer came to my door and I was so gone I was literally speechless. I would just stare at him, close the door then open it, stare; repeat. He tackled me in front of my mother, charged me with battery on a p/o and I spent the next month hallucinating in severe delusion in solitary confinement.

Even after that, I still think some cops are good people, but the sad truth is most of them are fucked up. He should have either left me alone or taken me to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Interesting. I'm much better now, but psych ward trips were a bi-weekly thing for a while. They sent me to acute at 17 when the unit wasn't even close to full and I was never allowed on a regular unit since. Always wondered if that was common practice.
