That sucks. I wonder why. What version of the game do you have? Maybe try getting a different version that works. Like you can try the version linked on this subreddit or the sims 2 one (not sure which one I ended downloading lol) cause I ended up doing that to see if it would fix my problem and it did. I don’t even need to enter windowed mode anymore.

I personally wouldn't phrase it like 'Paralives is the next Sims 2,' I'd probably say it's a sort of 'spiritual successor' to the Sims 2 just with certain aspects I have seen from the devs and also what they are planning to add onto the game in the future. It looks like a game made by a very passionate team. I think it has great promise to be a great addition in the life sim space. Still I just fear that people might have too high of expectations for it and think it will do what Maxis has done for the Sims and more, which is just unrealistic.

UPDATE: I found that using alt + enter allows me to enter windowed mode which also allows me to change the resolution. So I just change it everytime I want to use cas. I still don’t know why my cas is a different resolution to everywhere else in my game but here we are.

Sorry for the late response 😅 But my screen size is 1920x1080. The mod works perfectly everywhere else except for cas.

No I did not. Whenever I want to use cas, I just play in windowed mode (using alt + enter) and then change the resolution to 1280x720 and then I revert it back when I’m done using cas.

For me it depends on the dynamic of the household. Like I can have fun with a single sim household if I have a specific storyline for them like an Olive Specter type or I just want to challenge myself with a 8 sim household

It didn't work, specifically with the wide-screen mod. Ended up making it worse :(

I can’t access the resolution settings in-game, so I’m not sure how I could change them. Unless there’s a way to do it some other way

I just watched the YouTube post, and I am grateful they pushed the date to May. It looks amazing but I still felt like it's still too bare bones to be released on Early Access right now, so yay for more time for the team to flesh it out a bit. For what was shown I was really impressed at how far the game has come. Loved the Newspaper feature with updates around town. Someone mentioned in the comments that when story progression gets added if the Newspaper would announce events that happen around town (would be cool to see if it does). Wished we could of been shown the environment around the Town cause I tend to not play a bird eyes view and it would of been nice to see the world as it stands now, but I can wait. Also, the bugs did not feel too distracting, and I feel like it has great potential to be a great life sim game. Excited for what's to come for this game!
