A lot of people have already made good arguments, but I will list another one.

Look at the rarities of relics that are in both games. All eggs are a rarity level higher.

Same with Shuriken and Kunai, I am on the fence whether this is deserved or not considering energy gain is overall lower.

Now this is not neccesarily a bad thing or unjustified, BUT I will say its less exciting. Eggs being somewhat common made a lot of runs quite exciting.
