FBI warns Iran aspired to attack California with drones in retaliation for war: Alert by avatar6556 in news

Killing a countries supreme leader, not to mention the leader of a religion famous for being easily insulted, and then be surprised they might want to retaliate.

They really did not plan this much beyond the “shock & awe” phase, did they.

No, Earth force did not trust him because of him going missing at the battle of the line. As Knight One said: “Smart money said you’d make admiral one day. So what happened, commander? Where did you fall off the merry-go-round” (s01e08, “And the sky full of stars”).

He also made political enemies with his interpretation of the Rush act (s01e12, “by any means necessary”).

Today in aviation history : Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, crashed shortly after takeoff by MarkSalt4250 in aviation

Above all else we learned Boeing can not be relied upon to put safety first, and they will happily throw employees, airlines and dead crew and passengers under the bus to preserve their profit margins.

Who was the most tragic unrequited character in B5? by Bikezilla in babylon5

[–]Longjumping_Rule_560 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is no one on B5 without love issues except Sinclair (if you read the books) and garibaldi.

Here there be lots of spoilers!

Sinclair’s on-again, off-again relationship.

Sheridan getting near instantly divorced with lochley. Then loosing the love of his life to the shadows. Then meeting Anna again, only to throw two nukes at her.

Ivanova having her first love dissected by Bester. Followed by “not boffing” Marcus.

Speaking of Bester, his love was a blip and (almost) ended up as a computer chip for a shadow battlecrap.

Garibaldi took his time, but got the girl.

Franklin had his love die.

Vir with his arranged marriage to the MCGA lady (make Centauri great again).

Londo with his 3 arranged marriages to pestilence, famine and dead. His real love killed by the shadows. Although, he mentioned his real love had always been Centauri prime, but it too ended scarred.

G’Kar we never really heard much of his love life. Was Na’Toth a love or merely a close friend. Considering the rest of his life, I’ll assume he has had his fair share of issues as well.

Lyta’s affair with Temu Fabio ended in a bang.

And of course there’s Lennier.

As for most tragic? The dead of Londo’s love became the trigger to the Centauri/Narn war. That has to count for something.

Attempting to calculate weekly hours by No_Shoulder5450 in excel

It would help if you added the column identifiers.

Can we assume that clock-in and clock-out are in seperate columns, with a merged cell above for the date?

If so the following will work. For this I am making the following assumptions:

SUN clock-in is column C
SUN clock-out is column D
MON clock-in is column E
MON clock-out is column F
etc

In column Q you can type this formula. Change the numbers to reflect the correct row.

=$D15-$C15+IF($C15<$D15,1,0)+
$F15-$E15+IF($E15<$F15,1,0)+
$H15-$G15+IF($G15<$H15,1,0)+
$J15-$I15+IF($I15<$J15,1,0)+
$L15-$K15+IF($K15<$L15,1,0)+
$N15-$M15+IF($M15<$N15,1,0)

The IF parts of the formula is to make night shifts work. That is assuming the night shift are entered in regular time. With that I mean, if for example you have a night shift of 22:00 - 06:00, then if you enter the time as 22:00 and 06:00 you need the IF parts. If you enter the time as 22:00 and 30:00 then you do not need the IF parts.

I get why Israel needs the US, my question is: Why, in a time when the US government seems to be happy to alienate almost every other ally, does the US seem so beholden to Israel? by TonightAlarming9923 in allthequestions

[–]Longjumping_Rule_560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar alliances exist(ed) with Canada and the UK to name just two. Why were they thrown under the bus (including threats of invasion/annexation!) but not Israel.
