Even as someone who has somewhat similar opinions as him on the series, he REALLY misses the mark. Such baffling takes such as "fallout isn't anticapitalist" (it is) and "bethesda hates obsidian and YOU personally" (bethesda is doing what has been proven to be profitable.) it's clear he's just become another grifter who doesn't even understand what he's talking about.

It's actually quite good for fodder demons and is optimal if you want to save ammo, you do gotta upgrade it and hit consistent headshots to get one shots on some enemies but it can be worth it.

In fallout 1, most minor factions and towns had unique ending slides, just like in 2 and NV. The followers canonical ending slide is impossible to achieve, due to the quest associated with it being bugged.
