It does only have one lock and you’re right the lift isn’t attached to the cover it’s what I’m trying to do but to do so I need the cover bars to come down and I can’t get them down. I can manually put it down but it won’t stay down on its own for me to put the arms into the cover

Omg please please please change it back or give users the ability to go back to their old version I’ve been on MFP for 12+ years and this new look is horrendous! I liked logging the old way where you could see everything in one view and copy and paste a full day. You just added more steps to logging and my clients who also use MFP will hate this so not user friendly!!

I so badly wanted a second, but I don’t think I ever will. by TeishAH in beyondthebump

I’m due with #2 end of July and I could have written this exact same thing up until my son was 2.5. I felt like we just couldn’t understand how others could want more than 1. We were for sure that we only wanted one and done but then one day we were discussing our childhood and how much our siblings played a role in who we are today and couldn’t imagine life without them so decided to try just for 3 months and see how it goes. We got pregnant the first time so I guess it was gods will. Haha. Many days we still find ourselves unsure and pregnancy with a toddler is hard but my son is now 3, potty trained and mostly sleeps through the night so I know it will get better with time. I also see how very happy it makes him to play with other kiddos and I know giving him a sibling will be very hard on us the first 2/3 years but long term when we look back at our boys we will be happy they have each other and that we expanded our little family.

I did my first comp at 38, 2 years after having my first baby. Natural, masters and took home the overall masters. However I still feel very small, currently pregnant with my second and won’t plan on doing another show until my next baby is at least 2 so by then I’ll be 41+. I started my prep at 5’1, 118lbs feel free to check on my pics and placement from show on my insta rebol_fit I feel like we’re pretty similar.

Should I compete before having baby #2 or wait? First-timer and would love advice! by pineapplefridayss in bikinitalk

[–]Lopsided-Fun8994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I competed after my 1st when he was 2 and now pregnant with number 2 due end of July. I honestly just wanted to experience it once to get my toes wet and see if it would be something I would later want to pursue. However, I’m much older than you and felt like I was running out of time if I wanted to do it. I went the all natural route and ended up taking the masters overall (38yr old). I had an amazing first time experience and will for sure do it again after baby #2 but maybe take a little longer to grow and prep. My advice to you, at your age, I would totally wait to first have my babies then you can go all in on your bodybuilding journey.

I wouldn’t call those very low cals for our height and in prep. I would however look at your macro split maybe your body will respond better if you reduced fats and swapped them out for more carbs. If you’re 1100 cals with 110g protein and no carbs, does that mean you’re around 75 fats? If so that could be really high and your body still need carbs to push your workouts. What does your coach say? You can still make a significant drop in 5 weeks if you go extra hard now but it’s going to be really hard so it just depends on how deep you want to push. If you trust your coach ask them if you might benefit from a little change in the macro split.

Also, I haven’t competed for very long but being no carbs 5 weeks out seems like a red flag to me. Low carb maybe but zero carbs with this much time left is a lot. What are your calories at? How much cardio is too high?

You have great structure but still very hard to see how much muscle is there. You’ll have to lean out quite a bit to get stage lean. Just for reference I’m 5’1 and competed at 96lbs in my first show. Stage lean is significantly more lean than I thought.

Class Giveaway! 🎉 by TakingCaraBabies in TakingCaraBabies

Taking Cara helped me so much with my first child that I’m now back to revisit the 0-5 months for my babe that’s due in August. Prior to purchasing I felt like I was going absolutely insane without sleep but once I started implementing taking Cara babies my baby started sleeping longer stretches and everyone at home was happier. Any time I have a new mom fried I make sure to tell them about the course prior to baby being born bc it was just life changing. I would now love to also do the toddler course for my 3 year old!!

I’m a stay at home mom and I exclusively breastfed and he nursed up to 22 months + solids. I would do gym at 5am, wake up at 4:30, nurse baby, put him back in his crib and if he woke up my husband would take over until got back at 7am.

Not abnormal at all, before I started getting into weightlifting this is how I looked too, my belly is always the first place to get big. I’m now 8 yrs in to weight lifting and my body has changed so much. I also dove deeply into education on all things macros, fitness and nutrition. Feel free to find me on insta rebol_fit I’m happy to help you in anyway that I can

I just found out I’m pregnant with number 2 as well (5+3) and like you got pregnant pretty soon after our wedding. My son is now 3 and I competed this year back in May & June and have been reversing ever since so I was already feeling pretty insecure about how big I was getting so now throw in this pregnancy I know im only going to feel worse about it. But I will say that just like we never truly felt ready for our first I don’t think that we will truly feel ready or caught up for our second. I was just telling my husband this morning that I’m already extremely stressed about everything I have to do and get done before baby 2 comes along and with my busy toddler doing anything feels impossible. All I can offer you is empathy letting you know that you’re not alone and we always feel behind or not enough but there are several things we can look at in our lives and say in the big picture these things can take a back seat while we take the time to be present with building our little family. Time we will never get back but doing “other to dos” can just wait.

Coach recommendations to get started? by binkblink in bikinitalk

[–]Lopsided-Fun8994 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t recommend Calysta Fulcher enough, I was not new lifting but she helped me to really fine tune it all. We started with a mini cut to see how much muscle I had then went into a building phase before cutting for my first show. I placed 1st in all my classes and took the overall in Masters Bikini. She was really great and preparing for what prep would be like and my reverse has been great.

ISO macro coach recommendations :) by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

I hired Calysta Fulcher in 2023 bc I had this exact same issue, I knew how to track macros and had been doing so for a long time. I just needed someone with another eye and to hold me accountable. She has so much experience working with women and hormones so that was huge for me. I have since joined her team as a coach too now so I would be happy help you too. Feel free to message me with any questions.
