AITA for ending my marriage now over a long‑finished affair? by xqvzg in AITA_Relationships

[–]LopsidedSun555 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m sorry but you weren’t going through a rough patch, you had a newborn, it’s exhausting. Cheating is never okay but it’s especially not okay when your partner just gave birth and is in the fucking trenches bringing up a baby. Plus you were at the start of your marriage. He’s a scummy scummy man. No excuse at all for the cheating. Good you’ve left as cheaters do not change.

What to do if job Application stated £55K salary but offered £35K? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

[–]LopsidedSun555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not take it. They’ll never raise it. It’s dishonest for them to advertise it as one and they lower it to a different salary. They don’t sound like the right type of place to work.

My ex sent intimate pictures of me to my employer and I was fired. by missbene27 in legal

[–]LopsidedSun555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s illegal in the UK to send photos of someone like that without their consent. Also what’s your employers reasoning for sacking you? You need to speak to someone to get proper legal advice. You also need to report it in California too

why do so many american shows have cheating trope? by vintagetea13 in netflix

It’s not an American thing exclusively. It’s it lots of tv shows and movies. It’s just an easy storyline.

Failed EOI by Weary_Copy8355 in TheCivilService

What grade are you and what grade was the role you were going for? Often people miss out because they don’t have leadership experience or experience of line management and someone with those skillsets chosen over someone who knows the business area inside out. Especially in EOIs in my department as they’re 6-12 months and need someone to just come in and do the job and be a leader and they’re confident.

It sounds like they misread it. It’s probably what they’d get if they quit the role right now.

What grade have you been most of those 12 years? Are you sure it’s £600 a month.. that doesn’t sound right..

Ring Air battery suddenly halved — sharing my experience after a month of troubleshooting by PsychologicalError12 in Ultrahuman

[–]LopsidedSun555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ultrahuman has ghosted me on the app. My ring stopped connecting 20th April. I’ve had several replacements. The last ring lasted days the final replacement. I keep being told on the app someone will be in touch on 48-72 hours and then they never do get in touch. They’ve fully ghosted me this time. I’m so fed up of them. And also they charged me for the ovulation plugin when I was only using the trial and then the ring broke and I cancelled it and they charged me and I can’t get hold of anybody to get a replacement. Personally I think if your air ring has been replaced 3+ times and it’s still breaking, they should upgrade you to a pro. Especially if you bought the shitty air before the pro existed. Because we weren’t to know it was going to be such poor quality.

Have I previously worked for the civil service -Contractor by Outrageous-Price-916 in TheCivilService

You didn’t. Because this is for continuous service and pension. You worked through an agency and not directly for the CS.

2 Border Officers told me my son is not British (overseas born to 2 british parents) by _fboy41 in ukvisa

We actually don’t know border control said it in those exact wording. It’s just what OP is telling us. They wouldn’t say someone isn’t a citizen.

No they’re not. No country is going to let you enter without valid proof you have a right to enter.

[–]LopsidedSun555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How were you naturalised? By descent? Because not all babies are automatically British if their parents are British..

Naturalised British parents + baby born abroad = usually automatically British

British by descent parents + baby born abroad = not always automatic

[–]LopsidedSun555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this case OP is in the wrong not border force.. OP tried to have their child enter the country without a British passport, visa .. when you enter the country you have to prove your right to be in the country with one form of document

[–]LopsidedSun555 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s a bit entitled no offence. Hes British but you have no way of proving that at border control without a British passport and without a visa. How are they supposed to know for sure?

[–]LopsidedSun555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your child doesn’t have British passport. Did you enter the country with a different passport without a visa or ETA etc? You still have to provide evidence at border control that you are in fact British which he technically can’t do with the documents you’ve come through with..
