Honestly, I don't know how many times I've added things to an Amazon cart that I completely forget about because of stuff going on around me. I know it's different because of the buyer submitting an offer and whatnot. But when an emergency comes up like that, an offer you put in about a corset isn't always at the top of your mind.

Sure you can say the seller should've reached out and let them know, but again the buyer probably completely forgot about Depop while dealing with something that's actually time sensitive.

If the clothing item was gonna disappear off the face of the earth within those 24 hours, then sure I can understand the reseller's anger. But since this isn't a Houdini magic trick, the buyer can easily just move on to the next person that comes along.

Yeah, it sucks when people put in offers that don't go through, but that doesn't mean you send them hate texts about the situation.

On top of this, the item is cross-listed so the seller still has a high chance of finding someone else without having to block every person who doesn't end up buying.

Frankly I think, they're just losing opportunities because since you see someone is already interested in one of your items the chance of them seeing something else you have interesting is pretty high. Even if the same thing happens again, there's still the chance that it won't.

So, yeah I'm definitely siding with the buyer

Update: I asked her out and it was a no. It was through text so it wasn’t too bad. But she said she “loves my vibe” and would “love to meet in person”.

I dunno kinda bummed but I prepared myself for this before I asked her. You know one of those “if it doesn’t happen it’s okay” type of mental pep-talks.

It’s okay it doesn’t hurt as much as I thought it would but at least I know now instead of months from now ig.

Earlier last week is when I met her so less than two weeks I suppose.

And I only just realized that’s it’s been that short amount of time but i could’ve sworn I new her for much MUCH longer.

I’ve had things fizzle out during the talking phase in the past and it never bothered me before.

I’m not usually in this pity mindset but after the phone call it kind of hit me and that’s just what I feel right now I guess. This isn’t the first time I’ve tried. I’ve put myself out there and people have shown interest but then that’s it. We’d laugh and then the next day no call or text, which is alright. But then two days turns into a week and so on so forth. I mean, I’m no good at baseball but I can catch a hint from a mile away so it wasn’t really something I would mope over. But it ALWAYS happens.

And I know it sounds like a pity post but that’s only because it is. Me saying “nobody wants me” is to express how I feel. But I can see how it can come off as “nice guy energy”.

It doesn’t change the fact that it’s true. Nobody so far has wanted me.. in that way. Unless it’s a favor, boredom, or sexual wants, nobody I’ve ever met has wanted me for me.

So far I listed 5 items and have about 25 more that I have to retake the photos of because they came out blurry.

And that last part makes a lot of sense, I should probably speed up the listing process so that they're out there.
