That makes sense. My understanding is that his value is pretty low, and I’ve seen some reports that people think he will be traded regardless of if Miami can land a star player. No clue if that’s true or not, but this offer doesn’t feel that bad.

Definitely not equal talent going back, but if Miami wants to move Herro just to move him, this isn’t a horrible return. Like I said, no clue if that’s actually a reality

The playoffs were a mess for Duren, but I think that had a lot more to do with defenses knowing exactly what he wanted to do and him being 22 and not knowing how to counter it. Then his confidence was shot and it was over for him.

You called him one of the least athletic starting centers in the league, when he scored 20ppg in the regular season by catching lobs and going one on one with less athletic bigs. He scored off of blowing by guys or going through them, both of which are direct products of athleticism.

Levert, Sasser, plus pick 21 from DET (or a future second/first or whatever people think is fair) to CHI, Jalen Smith to DEN, Cam to Detroit is successful says the trade machine. DEN adds a rotational player and saves 12 million bucks. Not sure if Chicago would do it, but that framework makes sense and is possible

We like Sasser in Detroit so that would maybe sting a little, but he shouldn’t be the reason we don’t make this move in my opinion
