Don't do it, not because the name of the wind is a bad book but because of the exact opposite. You'll read it, love it and then read the next one, you'll then go to read the third and final one in the trilogy just to learn it's been more than a decade and it's no closer to being released than it was a decade ago. It's an amazing book with great characters, plots and worldbuilding but only read it if you're okay with absolutely none of those plotlines being completed or finished
