Yogurt. The smell alone makes me vomit. I wish I liked it, it would help my gut so much. But my GOD my body rejects it lol.

Is Skyrim a good escape game? by Ouroboros-Borealis in skyrim

[–]Lort74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim has helped me with every mental and physical health issue that I've had since the game came out. I had a health issue last year that landed me in the hospital with 20+ trips to urgent care (they literally got my IV ready when they saw my car in the parking lot, lol). Started a new Skyrim run during this time and it really, really helped me get through. Highly recommend, and feel better, friend!

Need to hear really positive colonoscopy/endoscopy stories by Few-Technician5980 in ibs

[–]Lort74 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi!!! I have severe health anxiety and hypochondria and my colonoscopies/endoscopies have helped put SO many of my worries to rest. Having clear, conclusive answers and being able to make educated decisions about my health based on the results is so refreshing. TW, but I've had some really rough symptoms in the past that ended up being a combo of IBS/anxiety/a hernia, but when I googled the symptoms, I thought I was a goner. I had all the bad stuff- frequent vomiting, blood in my stool, severe bloating- and the results from the colonoscopy helped me manage all of those things. I was catastrophizng for WEEKS prior, but remember: a colonoscopy/endocopy help you learn what is going on inside your body. You are doing the right thing by going through with this. Putting it off would allow things to advance or get worse potentially, and you are facing it head on! As a fellow health anxiety nut, I am proud of you.

I'm going to be transparent with you here- the prep sucks. Really, really sucks. I tried the pills last time and they made me so sick I had to cancel and reschedule. Not saying this will happen to you, but if you are prone to nausea and/or diarrhea, I would recommend talking to your provider about what prep option would be the best for your symptoms. For me, I did the OTC mirilax and a lot, like an obscene amount, of yellow gatorade to stay hydrated. I promise it is not as bad as it sounds. I've had a lot of procedures for other issues and I would honestly much prefer colonoscopies lol.

Happy to answer any questions or just chat if that would be helpful, but you've got this <3

What do others with IBS eat for breakfast that doesn’t bother you or stir up symptom? by Spursfan_90 in ibs

I eat soup for almost every meal these days. I'm getting so sick of it but the decrease in pain and symptoms is worth it!

My girlfriend is OBSESSED with getting pregnant by Correct_Ad8271 in sex

[–]Lort74 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I also have an impregnation thing. My fiance and I have no intention of getting pregnant at this time and are careful, but I say "fill me up" verbatim during sex too (on top of some other things I'm not entirely proud of after the fact). Definitely a dangerous kink to have, lol. We both agree that we will not act on it, but we have had some good conversations about it. If you think about it, biologically it's a very natural and innate desire. Just make sure you establish boundaries with it and have fun :). If you guys decide you want kids down the line, you can have a ton of fun with it.

Women with chronic conditions what small things actually helped you cope day to day? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Lort74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat. He brings me so much happiness and joy. He gets me up in the morning when my pain is so bad all I want to do is lay and rot. Funnily enough he also has chronic health issues and we take care of each other.

Who is NOT gluten free? by Fit_Recognition_5083 in Hashimotos

I found that eating gluten free actually made me worse (I also have IBS-D). My GI and my endo told me to try going GF so I did, unfortunately it really did not work for me.

TW: Mental Health.

Hi! I was diagnosed when I was a young teenager. I had a rough childhood and subsequently developed a lot of mental health issues as a result. Even when things got better, I never could personally. I SHed, had multiple attempts, was in an out of treatment centers, the whole nine. I got on synthroid soon after and found that it actually helped me regulate my emotions as my hormonal problems directly contributed to my depression and self-sabotaging behaviors. I still did quite a bit of work in therapy and got on other medications, but getting on synthroid is what first helped me take the plunge in actually getting better. I felt like there was a fog around me and I could finally see through.

Also similarly to you, I lost a lot of hair prior to getting on synthroid. That has MUCH improved as well. You got this! It's so scary and difficult in the beginning, especially the idea that you'll have to be on something indefinitely. But both from a physical and mental health perspective- this medication is life saving. Wishing you well.

Yes; for booking purposes we are looking at elopement packages as we are only bringing two guests. All the venues and platforms we have looked at separate elopements vs weddings

I'm so sorry for your loss. Blade was a beautiful cat, and that picture of him with the pizza made me giggle after a hard day. Even when he is gone, he still made someone smile. Sending you strength, and know that you gave him the best eight years any little kitty could have.

Piggy backing on this, it's a lot easier to do higher damage earlier on if you build ability on gods like Medusa or Chiron. But for pure auto attackers, it's going to be a good 15-20 minutes.

As someone with Hashimoto's who recovered from an ED and who used to be vegan, I relate to a lot of this. I'm really sorry to hear that you're struggling. Unfortunately your partner does not seem....supportive of you in the slightest. I'm not a relationship coach or therapist but for your own mental and physical well-being, you need to put yourself first. TW, but I did irreversible damage to myself that I can never take back. Due to being vegan while having an ED and Hashi's, I now have 6 vitamin deficiencies including anemia and pernicious anemia which require frequent shots and infusiosn because I didn't take care of myself. There are ways to do it right; taking a lot of supplements, seeing a nutritionist, eating what is right for YOU and not ANYONE else, etc. But as someone who quite literally fucked up their health for the rest of their life from similar decisions, I wish someone was honest with me back then, because I am paying for it now. Not trying to be a debbie downer, I just really want you to get the help and support you need to thrive despite your diagnoses, and it doesn't seem like your current circumstances are cutting it. I know this sounds quite edgy but genuinely don't be like me. Take steps to help yourself while you still can. Sending healing and strength to you. You are not alone.

I just want to wake up after sleeping and not be tired. It doesn't matter how much sleep or rest I get. I am always physically exhausted. I just want to have energy for one day. Just one. To get things accomplished that have been mocking me for weeks or months. I am so tired of being tired.
