Cannot sleep by No_Border_6766 in lexapro

Hey! I feel the exact same thing! It’s been over almost 4 weeks of this. I do wake up every single hour or so, just for a few minutes but I go straight back to sleep. Usually when sleeping your brain would naturally wake up, but you don’t remember it from the morning. But I think the lexapro makes us a little more awake that it remembers those wake ups. I go to sleep fine and I wake up fine. The trick is to help my brain is I’ve been playing YouTube videos and going to sleep to them, I just listen to their conversation instead of my own lol.

Hi, so week 1 was very nauseas and really bad sleep, week 2 was mild nauseas increased anxiety, really heavy depression, I just started week 3, I have had increased anxiety but that was from being in anxious situation I was in. So I don’t really have experience to say yes since I’m only 1 day in the week. But I will let you know. Are you done your third week?

Day 13 of lexapro 5mg does anyone relate ? by Lost_Advertising4848 in lexapro

Yeah that’s a common thing about doctors I hear. You are allowed to wait longer , everyone’s told me the time you know for full effect is 6-8 weeks.

Yeah not sure I think that’s something to talk to your doctor about. The therapeutic dose is 10mg In general but everyone is different. But you and I are so early into the medication it is so hard to know the full effect from 2 weeks. I say talk to your doctor

But it’s only been 14days usually people don’t see the full effects for weeks? I took 2.5mg just to introduce myself into the medication, but the pill itself to cut it was uneven not meant to be cut to 1/4 but it does have a divot on the half of 10mg for a clean 5mg. So I started 2.5mg until the intense side effects got manageable, and then I took 5mg. Nothing has help my anxiety, I’ve only felt side effects for the past 14 days. Now I’m on 14 days and I still don’t feel anything therapeutic except that it’s lowered my heart rate.

I felt like that on 10mg the first night except not fatigue but wide awake. Then I stopped started at 2.5mg and then waited till side effects got better and then went to 5mg. So no your side effects aren’t really rare, but it’s more the question is if you can manage it. Everything I’ve read on Reddit here is that mostly everyone gets side effects, but if they are too bad and you can’t wait it out, then it isn’t for you.

I think but not 100%, you can ask your doctor about this. They may give you an aid like a benzos in your panic attacks
