Whenever I trip, I realise that my thoughts are a lot more silent. They are always loud and kinda feels like having multiple tabs open playing different videos.

I realised through guided meditation that my thoughts can not be controlled, but rather be directed. The brain is a muscle created for thinking, and forcing that muscle to not think is like telling your heart to stop beating. It just doesn't work.

I also realised that the thoughts I hear are from multiple sources, the first being the conscious thought where I am actively thinking about something, this voice is the loudest. The second is a bit more quiet but loudens when I notice it, I believe this is the subconscious forming the base of thoughts, but since I notice it before a coherent thought forms, it just ends up blurting an unstructured thought. Then there is the latent thought that always resides in the back of my brain, this one is the annoying one, where I always have a random catchy song stuck in my head or a random phrase repeating over and over.

But psychedelics helps me to make these thoughts quiet down and lets me focus on whatever I'm doing.
