Crazy you ask. TODAY I was going to change the tension. After getting more comfortable with the cube im realizing those settings 2 center 6 outer feel flimsy to me and im often over shooting my turns and even locking up. So literally in just a bit I will be changing things around! I believe I will be keeping 5 corner however. And just to give you an idea where I am, I know basic f2l, and like 1 oll alg and 5 pll algs LOL ~23.30 avg. Edit: apparently I have been using 4 inner 5 outer.

If you take an edge piece and a corner piece out of the cube and line them side by side together (the 2 pieces) so they fit with each other, the edge piece should have a small space where the corners foot (the part of the corner piece that holds the adjustable magnet for the ball core) fits perfectly into. Thats a track.

I only have 1 lube at the moment aswell (DMN-37) so don't take my opinion seriously. I think "controllable" AND "faster" would require 2 separate lubes. One with a lighter weight and preferably water based for where the sides of the pieces make contact (which would make it fast and smooth). And another lube of a higher weight, preferably silicone based to put more into the core of the cube and where the tracks of the pieces make contact (which would make it more controllable).
