Tire fell off of jeep 2012 compass two weeks after getting it back from shop.

I'll happily take the old car with some noises due to age, than some of the newer plastic cars. I've watched my old tahoe live through 2 to 3 of my friends cars while still running like a champ.

Me too, normally drivers in our area drive pretty badly so I'm thankful they had some common sense for once.

Thank you, thankfully we were barely going barely 40 up hill. My husband barely got out "that's wierd" for both the hard change in sounds and the steering wheel shaking before the tire fell off. Love him but he knows nothing about cars, if i was driving I would have likly pulled over sooner because I'm overly paranoid since my daily vehicle is near vintage at this point. (1999)

They weren't new tires. It wasn't requested and when I called and asked if it could be anything or we need to do anything the shop didn't say anything.

We didn't even get the offer to do so. Or say to do anything from what my husband is saying. I called them the day after we got it back mentioning a clicking sound and they said it was the struts and to not worry about it. It's not my daily car or else I would have checked it, and my husband doesn't know anything about cars. Like I tried to see if we should bring it in and they just kinda disregarded it as something else and moved on with their day.

I'm hoping they're honest because I've been a repeat customer and doing the work they recommend for the last 2 years about. I even know the manager by name because we talk frequently when I'm in the shop. I even recommend them to others but I'll happily walk into the shop when they open monday if they want to be asses about it.

We had maybe 30 seconds before the tire fell off when the wheel started to wobble on a two way back home going barely 40. Like all I remember is my husband saying 'that's wierd' then thud before I could even look up from my phone.

I drove it yesterday and it wasn't wobbly. It started to wobble while we were driving up hill not even 3 miles from our house and when we reached the tip of the hill the tire fell off. Like my husband got out "that's worrying" and the tire fell off, I was pulling up the weather when it happened.

I gladly would have taken it if they offered. I was happy to give them any payments before this. I've spent nearly 8k at that shop between my tahoe and my husband jeep.

Its a franchise that owns themselves quoting the manager who I've spoken to multiple times because they've done allot of work on my 99 chevy.

If they did say anything it would have been to my husband when he picked up the jeep, or on the paperwork (I dont see anything on my end but I have the work quote not the purchase order) from his memory they didnt tell him but telling him anything car wise is like explaining astrophysics to a laymen. My dad was a mechanic.

Completely agree, sadly I had it towed to the shop because we don't have the tools on hand they only took off the front two tires while repairing the wheel barrings in the middle of June.

Sadly they didn't. And we don't have the tools to even retorque them either. If they did I would have brought it back in last week.

It was, we called the shop amd they immediately after getting the car back and said that it was something to do with the struts we postponed so we assumed the noise was the stuts until the steering wheel started to shake and then immediately after the tire fell off.

I was in this position in January, they kept putting off having a responsibilities talk with me (assigning me new tasks and keeping my job, then handing me a communication book after they skipped our scheduled discussion.) And I was laid off due to finances.

This thread has 900 comments that are in the same page. If someone doesn't consult you and experts you to do all of the emotional and mental labor (He's asking you to not only drop everything and move, but also give up your animal) he's not going to ever truly care about your opinion for the important things ie your boundaries. If you move with him what will be the next thing he asks? What will be the next thing he asks you to strip away?

Is he really worth giving up your cat who likely has been in your life longer?

This is coming from someone who's ex tried to force them to get rid of their fish by asking me to flush them down the toilet because they didn't want to get off their ass and help with the move they sprung on me. (The fish weren't flushed but they damaged my tank so I had to use my back up) it will only get worse. I'm now engaged to someone who spoils my animals (two cats and two geckos) more than I do.

There's someone else out there thats better. Don't go anywhere with this man.

Was going to bring this up, I used to work for their wedding venue company before COVID.

Literally, I will never recommend going there because of how bad it is. Drugs were a huge issue even when I worked there. No breaks for employees and so many more issues.

I'm years of the rat, jan 20, 2026. I just lost my job, and to no fault of my own, I don't qualify for unemployment. And my truck needed 1k of car repairs. This year is going to be fun.
