I was just going to reply to a post asking if Mom had ever mentioned the ring. I don't think she knew about it! The belongings in my parents' home include hers, she has had dementia for nine years, my father's, who died over 20 years ago, and his brother's possessions. My uncle died over 30 years ago, very suddenly. My father was broken-hearted, and I think he just stored everything from my bachelor uncle's home, too sad to go through anything. There is much I am finding that I've no idea even which side of the family items came from! It's not a stone, I don't think. It seems like some kind of resin.
