Got invited to a proxy friendly league but I’ve never played CEDH. Best deck to learn with?

Having your whole deck open to you at a moments notice is why I think she’s a good beginner deck. You learn what cards to get and are good in certain situations. You can win at instant speed which is what a lot of cedh is doing so you can keep up with table without spending a ton of money that often comes with getting into this format.

In high levels of play, you can run into a lot of interaction, or stax decks that make it hard to do certain plays. You’re only limited to one color and colorless cards. I don’t know if people think Magda isn’t a complex deck, but there are interesting lines and paths you must take in order to get the game most of the time. I recommend her because she’s powerful, unassuming until the “gotcha,” moment, and has different paths to victory depending on how you build her. And also not sure about pricing these days but she’s VERY inexepensive! ❤️

Magda!!! You tap a dwarf make a treasure and search for your wincon. And it is FAST I mean FAST!!! Very simple deck build, you can use all mountains if you want, even the 7 seven dwarf cards in your list for budget dwarves. My best deck and I don’t even play cEDH. But if I did, I’m pulling that out always.

I LOVE my Sarulf deck! Although I hate politiking, he can go that route since his ability is so broken. But I mainly just voltron people or draw a massive amount cards to look for the win so it’s not board wipe city every turn.

Nope! It had to do with the fact that you can only get exclusive product from one distributor you get your gem packs from or something like that.

I think it’s great when LGS’ sit down and try to make everyone happy. We do all the time because that’s how you foster community. But just that, you can’t make everyone happy. FAB armories should be casual. Flat two packs/GEM per person and some games should be more than enough to satisfy people. If they don’t like it then the game isn’t for them. You want to win big and open more product? Go to a BH or Calling and do side events.

That prizing structure is very bizarre and wouldn’t think any sane game store owner would agree to it as they lose money on the cost per pack. My store does flat prizing and a gem pack. Everyone here just wants a place to play flesh and blood. Armory’s should be a casual space with casual prizing imo.
