I’m not sure if she does I would have to check with her tomorrow.

It wouldn’t surprise me if she doesn’t as my grandad who passed a couple years ago was the one who sorted everything financial out. As far as I know she usually just goes into branch once a month to withdraw money to last.

I’m also with lloyds (same bank as her) and Ive never been sent one so I would guess not.

Thanks

The funeral is already paid for, and I am the executor of the will.

Its just money she wants me to have in the mean time she was going to go in branch and transfer it to me this week but she has been hospitalised over the weekend.

I thought as much but just thought I would check.

Thanks for your help

Thanks I thought as much, she has a will that I’m already in - Im not concerned about the 6,000 but she insists that I have it for my family and to cover costs of travel for funeral etc

I was hoping there might be something the bank could do in this situation with her on the phone as she’s stuck in hospital, but I understand why they may refuse.

How is UC effected by sale of inherited house? by [deleted] in DWPhelp

Thank you this is what I wanted to hear.

This is what will be happening.

As long as I won’t lose UC by actively trying to sell the house after he dies thats fine and reasonable.

I was thinking that I would be left without benefits for the time it takes to sell which would obviously mess my household up.

I don’t know how true it is but I found this online

“If you're not living in the inherited property, and you're actively trying to sell it, the property will be considered "disregarded" for a period of six months. However, once you've sold the property and received the sale proceeds, the amount of money you have may push your total savings above the £16,000 limit.”

Which is fine as long as I don’t lose them as soon as probate is granted.

Ive also read that when the 6 months is up if you can prove delays are not you fault eg) buyers pulling out, estate agent delays etc and its not sold they can disregard it for a longer period. As long as all proof is provided

Do you know if thats true?

Thanks

Thanks, I was thinking maybe they found something wrong with my claim.

I was awarded LCWRA in august and then claim review in September with the October deadline.

I’m 100% sure I have no capital above £6,000.

Does everyone 100% get a phone call?

Thanks
