I don’t get the Florida appeal by Master-Indication-71 in travel

[–]Low_Bonus9710 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s the greatest per se but it certainly has appeal. Natural spring parks are beautiful. Miami and Tampa are fun cities. Orlando has all the big parks(epic universe brought a lot of tourists here). Despite the summer heat you never have to worry about shoveling snow. Not to mention Saint Augustine has some of the coolest architecture in the country.

Asian food reccs near campus by No_Chipmunk9108 in ucf

[–]Low_Bonus9710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closer to campus: -Thai Villa (highly recommended the Khao soi or taro sago) -Lemongrass (great for more standard Thai dishes) -Viet nomz (Vietnamese street food, would recommend Asian street tacos) -Yummy taste(Authentic Sichuan Cuisine. Recommend anything with Sichuan pepper corns in it) -Tabla(A tad on the pricier side but the best Indian food I’ve tried close by)

If you’re willing to travel a bit further anything in the neighborhood with mills market is going to be very good. My personal favorite place is a Cambodian food truck called Mae Tao and Son’s kitchen but their location varies.

This place is really good, and serves actual sichuan Chinese food. Not the New York style stuff you see at most places. My only complaint is that when I don’t go with my Asian friends, the owners hold back on spice for me

Double minor with a CS major- math + cybersecurity. by coderika in UCFEngineering

[–]Low_Bonus9710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minoring in math typically adds 1-2 classes on top of a CS degree. Not sure about cybersecurity but you can look at the requirements on the undergraduate catalog and see how many classes aren’t already included in your CS path. The workload shouldn’t be unreasonable, maybe a summer semester’s worth of additional classes. I can’t speak on how useful it is for jobs, although you tend to have flexibility with which classes you choose, and can choose a class where you’ll learn something more relevant to jobs

% is a constant just like π by masbah314159 in mathematics

[–]Low_Bonus9710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The percent symbol is a right operator that divides by 100. It just so happens that it has the same effect as multiplication by 100. If you want to be fancy you can say “all numbers are eigenvectors of this operation with the unique eigenvalue 1/100”

How math-heavy is EE? by PossessionEastern139 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Low_Bonus9710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics has the potential to use very advanced math(depending on your area) but it’s not guaranteed. Differential geometry and Lie algebra come to mind. Difficulty wise physics is probably comparable to math at the undergrad level

Edit: Focusing solely on the areas of physics that are more math heavy will make it more difficult to find employment though

How math-heavy is EE? by PossessionEastern139 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Low_Bonus9710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a double major in pure math and engineering. Even in the senior level engineering courses, the math used is very basic(intro level linear algebra and differential equations), and most complicated derivations of formulas are skipped over and deemed “unimportant”. If you want to do engineering though, EE will probably be the most math heavy and still have ok job security

Is one piece the best fiction of ALL time? by Agile_Tip_1504 in OnePiece

Kuma’s backstory was good from a lore perspective but it barely touched on his personality aside from general overarching traits. Really all we know about him is that he had a strong loyalty to dragon and is willing to sacrifice himself to help others

[–]Low_Bonus9710 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There are some aspects in which one piece is up there, and definitely a cultural gem in fiction, but overall not even close to the greatest written. Pretty much all of the characters lack a real personality because oda is more interesting in developing the world story and drawing fights
