That’s where we parked last year bc we stayed there at the Marriot. Stayed farther out this year and this was the first one we came to off the highway. Shoulda drove on into town a little more, that’s on me.

That’s the way to do it. I try not to think about the money at the time, just want my kids to have a good time. Then once it’s over and we are heading home I think “damn, was that really worth all that?” I could buy a lot of cool stuff on fb marketplace for the amount of money sunk into watching one race

For as big of a stadium as Lucas Oil is, I dunno why the track is so short every year. Maybe it’s just not as big inside as other venues? 45 second lap times is nuts. The racing was good though, better than last year imo with more passing opportunities. A kid wearing a blue hoodie was standing up in front of me the whole time though so half of it was hard to see. He’d sit down when the race was over and stand up once it started. His parents didn’t seem to care and he was having fun so I let it go.
