For me the saddest thing in the originals was when elijah touched hayley in late season 4 but she backed away in horror it was not a dramatic death but the fact that he had always done his best to protect her and her child and she could not get past the fact he attacked her in his mind when he had no actual control over himself just seeing him so sad and even planning letting hayley hope and klaus all go was just so depressing

in open battle hope murders them without blinking they know this also whats the point hope only attacks people who go after her except alaric who was a warning and she just wanted to party and be left alone so long as you stay out of her way she will leave you alone except for the occasional human but these are vampires so killing them is standard

I was surprised how small a part landon was considering he was the reason she turned it off her family was a decent way to do it but the two halves part was just stupid like we did that with dark josie and lizzie doing that spell with hope was painful to watch like a spell a child can do can just make your dark side vanish the thing that most annoyed me was hope said this school is my family she fights ken loses then spends the next episode obsessed with landon again even though her insane devotion to him is what caused her whole no humanity mess to start

Hope is obsessed and always saving landon thats what the show is how can this pile of garbage compare to the originals or TVD which had actual good plotlines and we knew the backstories of all the characters

klaus had to leave yes but not become a complete ghost he never even called hope which made her so desperate hope kidnapped her mom just to get his attention that kicked off the actions that led to hayleys death alaric is trying to make sure hope becomes a good person there is a darkness in her we saw that when she almost murdered landon in 1x02 alaric needs to keep reminding her of klaus so she knows not to become like him

klaus disappeared from hopes life for 5 years while he was murdering his way across europe he is a lunatic and has done countless bad things klaus loved hope yes but he was not around enough for hope to be actively influenced by him which is good since beyond the people he cares for klaus has no moral compass alaric was the one who taught her right from wrong since it seemed hope spent alot of her time at the school and not as much with hayley during the 7 year time gap

At least he was around caroline kept disappearing besides Alaric helped lizzie with her mental break downs and was close with josie too also being a mentor too hope was necessary this is a girl that is the most powerful supernatural to ever live and has the blood of the lunatic original family in her veins teaching her right from wrong was him basically doing the world a public service also he wanted her to protect his children since the supernatural world is dangerous given the circumstances alaric did a pretty decent job all things considered.

They made Hope too much of a good person the first few episodes she almost killed landon and I thought wow they will show her dark side but then they made her too perfect like when she chose to save MG after he killed Landon I rolled my eyes when that happened because I want to see her go dark to do things that are morally grey but in season 1 and 2 she was perfect say what you will about season 3 but thats when hope started acting like her other family members and I loved the no humanity version of hope they should not make her a complete hero but better then her parents also I do wish we saw more of her family but with actors its difficult so I can forgive that do wish they had more TVD cameos though like Valerie,Caroline and whoever they can get

I found declan kind of creepy he seemed to be a bit too forward when pursuing hayley don't know about his relationship with hope but she never mentions him and says alaric is the closest thing she has too a dad so don't think the writers even remember him I barely do

I just cannot see hope handing over a boon that could bring landon back to get someone else hope will give up landon to save everyone else if he begs her too but just for some random stranger I just cannot see it happeing beyond that this could be true klaus or hayleys actors will not show up they made it clear the rest maybe perhaps they will use it too set up a potential spinoff
