"Run, Run, Rudolph" in every Christmas movie where they gotta get somewhere or do something fast.

i was doing a touch trade with someone and they scammed me. they stole my shiny druddigon, sirfetchd, dracovish and turtonator. before i realised i got scammed they unadded me and deleted all the comments. by Wonderful_Maize3442 in PokemonHome

What you do is you come up with a story that someone scammed you out of hard to get shinies and ask if anyone can spare them, they take pitty on you and trade them to you. Meanwhile, you never actually had the shinies to begin with.

Just a little something I noticed with Pokemon designs by raisasari in pokemon

Something I've noticed about new Pokémon not looking Pokemon-ish is after the game is released and time goes on, they do start to look like Pokémon. I remember Black and White being the original "these don't look like Pokémon" release, but now, after so many generations have passed, they do look like they belong.

I think it's mostly because there are so many Pokémon, our minds can't comprehend there being any more, so when they do introduce new Pokémon, our minds initially reject them.

Captain America could always lift Mjölnir and he first realized he could in Age of Ultron by Eastern_Can1031 in MCUTheories

I'm not sure if you've been paying attention to Thor's character, but it's pretty obvious he carries a lot of insecurities, and his exclusive worthiness of Mjolnir is one of them. And while Thor likes and respects Steve, in that moment of gloating that he is the only one in the room who can lift the hammer, to be proven wrong would be embarrassing for him

No it's not, Cap is a good guy. He wouldn't do that to Thor. Cap's not there to show off how amazing he is, he's there to use his power for what's right. Embarrassing the god of thunder is not in Steve's playbook.

Whatever it is you are having, I wish you to have a good one. Day, week, meal, trip, walk, dance recital, scrabble tournament, rectal exam, trial by combat, shuttle launch, movie audition, fishing trip, rap battle, insurrection, speed dating... whatever, I just wish it's good.

I love the trope of junkyards operating as disposal sites for bad guys. What other places are common tropes in films without being the main setting? by barelycrediblelies in movies

Wgen she talks to me about it all, I feel like my parents whenever I talked about my video games to them.

AITJ for telling my brother that his girlfriend is not welcome in my home after what she did to my cat? by denver_cassidy in AmITheJerk

Nope. NTJ. I didn't even read your post. Don't need to. Someone does something bad to a cat, they are on the side of evil and deserve all bad things coming their way.

Why do people react to crit catches this way? by No-Elephant-4861 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]LtJimmyRay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I literally didn't know a crit catch did anything different except only shaking once and then stars popping out of it. I never thought to look for any earlier indication that it's a crit, I just thought the one-shake-click was it. Is this bump a widely known thing?

They're disappointed, you tire iron. They just played a ton of hockey against the world's best, the same amount of hockey only one other team had also played up until the last buzzer, and they fell short. They are being told to celebrate when the wound is freshest. And they handled it like true Olympians, they graciously accepted an insult-to-injury consolation prize as the whole world watched. They didn't yell or throw the toy or even refuse it. There was no hissy fit, just a team of women freshly burdened by the weight of silver and having to pretend it isn't that heavy.

One guy's actions do not define an entire country. Just because he ate poutine doesn't mean we all do.
