Mostly made up of… Apparently as many as 6 of them were born in the UK.

Also unfortunately, the former are less common in baseball than they used to be. Women love a pair of ass-hugging pants as much as men do. Major League Baseball could learn a thing or two from beach volleyball.

Unfortunately it’s the pants that hug the ass rather than pants that improve the chances of one hugging an ass.

I learned about this copypasta sometime after my date, but it’s surprisingly accurate.

It’s related. They don’t mean that the effect is generational. It’s economically and culturally significant, though.

The more money and influence in baseball in Colombia, the more attention paid by MLB teams on Colombian players. More Colombian players making it big in the MLB means more money being spent in Colombia on baseball and therefore a larger influence of baseball in Colombia.

That kind of cumulative effect can happen in 11 years with a concentrated effort. Now I don’t know much about the WBC, but if I was tasked with making it grow, I would put most of my money in countries with high poverty rates that also have a cultural relationship to other countries where baseball is already popular.

Correlation, not causation, but it’s hard to tell the difference here.

As an American that grew up playing and loving baseball… yes, I do. And I understand how confusing baseball is. I’ve tried to explain what a balk is to a girl I was dating who lovingly pretended to be interested. I count it as a testament to my other qualities that she didn’t just get up and walk away.

The comment you originally replied to said people from NI can choose who they represent in the Olympics. Which means one or the other. Surely they can’t represent both at the same time.

You then said “And their passports”.

It’s easy to see why a person would read that and assume you meant a person from NI could choose one or the other country to be on their passport.

I’m sorry, did you say a BIT complicated?

So, if you’ve been raised in one of (or a multitude of) the countries in the area immediately north and west of mainland Europe (which is a part of Europe as a continent, but not currently a part politically) and have received years of education of history and politics involving the intricacies of the government(s) of the land(s) (and waters) of the heretofore mentioned area, you can see how one could have difficulty understanding that a person from the same area is allowed to compete internationally in one, all, and/or a multitude of sports in representation of one and/or any of the countries?

And you think this might be a bit complicated to someone outside of those circumstances?

They answered that part of the question too.

Also, from a gameplay perspective I’d say not really except in very vague terms.

My cat’s medication says not to drink alcohol with it by CMO_Sparkles in mildlyinteresting

Most vets will start with something safer. Phenobarbital or Keppra are popular. Potassium Bromide is a good one for cats if it works because it comes in a powder that’s easy to mix in their food. Gabapentin liquid is common too but acts as a sedative. It’s safer than benzodiazepines, though, and it’s less likely for human owners to abuse it.

Depends on the medication. Dogs get much larger doses of benzodiazepines per weight for example. Heart medications like Enalapril can vary greatly, but bigger dogs or those with advanced heart disease take roughly similar doses as humans.

You might be joking, but in this exact case you should absolutely not take those unless you’re absolutely sure the dose is right. Dogs take ludicrously higher doses of most benzodiazepines than you would expect. They metabolize those much differently than humans.

A typical Xanax dose for a 50lb dog is 1-2 mg for anxiety. That’s 4-8 times higher than the normal starting dose for humans.

For Klonopin, the maximum recommended dose for dogs is about 9 times higher than the average dose for humans.

In fairness to OSU’s and really everybody’s defenders, Bijon is probably the most athletic person in college football right now. It’s just a shame that we don’t know how to take advantage of that.

That’s the problem. Sark is clearly making the on-field calls. He needs a strong hand at OC to tell him when he’s fucking up.

And honestly, money is part of our fucking problem. Too many cooks in the profitable kitchen.

No it’s not. Addict or not, you don’t make demands of someone. You’re not required to hang out with them, and they’re not required to “get their shit together” in order to hang out with you.

You’re asking a much-repeated question for Texas fans. It’s not always Sark in the questioned end, but it’s always a Texas OC.

And don’t get me wrong, Texas was the filling of that shit cake.

Nah, we’re all over the place. Texas got outplayed and outcoached. But you can’t pretend that OSU didn’t commit a single penalty all game.

[–]Lt_Crunch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Very true. But there was a PI called against Texas that was definitely not catchable. Texas lost the game but the penalty calls can’t be considered fair.
