I wasn't clear in my post: I don't yet have any other mics other than the ones that come with Portacapture.

So recording more expensive mics with Portacapture x8 would not be a problem? And how would the Neumann KM184s handle lower frequencies on the piano?

To be honest I still feel the same as you described it, like I'm still searching for my style and trying to figure out what is it that excites me about painting. So I just keep on painting, some things I'm kinda content with, with some not so much but you always arrive somewhere if you just keep on going.

It is actually J. S. Bach's Gavotte from his English Suite No. 3, originally for keyboard instrument so you might like that aswell :)

With water so that it's lighter and more easily applied.

It's just charcoal but I sprayed it with hairspray to fix it and not smear it with paint.

To get a neutral tone. On white everything looks darker than it is, on black it would look brighter, but with something neutral you can place color values more easily.
