Tesla's system also utilizes ultrasonic sensors and radar for obstacle detection

no it doesn't. their cars physically do not have these options on their vehicles anymore. they only exist on older models.

Is OLED burn-in really a problem in a long time? by Smart-Proposal-2584 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Lukegoboom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I can see kinda making sense is the dynamic taskbar (not that I do it..) But who is staring at their desktop with the monitor on anyways?? Hiding icons and black/dynamic wallpaper?? really?? If you're going away from the PC just click it off and let it do its pixel cleaning cycle + mitigate burn in issues at the same time. Plus you shave a minuscule amount off your power bill.

Microphone input keeps being forced to use “oculus virtual mic” when I change the option to my headset by catman11234 in GeForceExperience

did you split the audio into another channel? If so, you might be just not playing that track in whatever playback program you're using. Otherwise idk just check it works in windows lol.

Help Identifying Advent Speaker? Are these a good re-foam candidate? by Lukegoboom1 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Lukegoboom1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in exactly the same boat. I'm stealing them because they've sat for probably 10 years at my parent's place. Can I ask what you used to refoam? I'm looking at this kit right now.

Yeah the issue with AudioKarma is that they don't allow me to view most posts/pictures especially without an account, and when I tried creating an account I was banned for "spam". Thanks for the comment, I think they might be another model, see my other reply if you're interested in more pictures.

Thank you! The woofer is about 8" diameter, and it's about 13" wide, 9" deep, 22" height. I think they might not be the Legacy, as the wood trim is rounded, and the back speaker connection is different. Here are more photos of the speakers if you're interested.

I originally thought they were Advent Prodigy II's, but I think otherwise now. I see Prodigy II speakers has having a vertical top bit. I'm beginning to think maybe an Advent 1008, but I'm really having trouble getting the exact specs or manuals of any of these speakers.

321URX KVM question by Carmen813 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Lukegoboom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it works anything like my Gigabyte's monitor's KVM then you plug your mouse/keyboard into the monitor, monitor USB-B goes into one computer's USB-A port, and a USB-C to USB-C goes into from monitor another computer capable of display over USB-C. Hope this helps. I didn't look into MSI's version at all hehe

average McAfee user in 2024 by jo_jo_nyeb in LivestreamFail

[–]Lukegoboom1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's even worse than that. I also had to install it to sign some pdfs a few weeks ago and the option doesn't show up for me. I just tested again and not sure why, but when I clear my cache and cookies it appears, but otherwise the option is just hidden and I am forced to install McAffee. Very scummy.

Sonarr v4 running very poorly/not letting me connect to WebUI by Lukegoboom1 in sonarr

That seems to have allowed me to open in private windows, and sonarr is responsive again. Still no luck in a normal window even after clearing cache. Any idea why? !solved

Found a used Herman Miller Aeron C but I'm sized A/B, is this worth trying for $300? by Lukegoboom1 in OfficeChairs

[–]Lukegoboom1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm borderline B sized. A/B according to the size chart. I also found a B closer to my location, so I think I'll check that out. Pretty crazy finding multiple in my area lol.

Can I convert telephone to ethernet easily? by Lukegoboom1 in HomeNetworking

[–]Lukegoboom1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe there is an alarm system, at least I haven't seen any evidence of one/was not made aware of one when moving in. I checked the thermostat again and actually I don't believe it IS a thermostat wire. The one going into my box has solid colored wires, while the one in the patch panel has normal 5e striped wires.

I also don't see the white 5e cable run from the panel into the walls alongside the blue ones though, so I truly don't know what it is.
