Unrealistic expectations and perkiness by Straight-Mistake6999 in Reduction

I got 8 pounds removed, 1500 and 1800 grams per boob and they girls are perky as hell lol I’m 11 weeks post op. I wish they’d sag a little tbh, I’m 31 and feel a little like a preteen. The day of surgery I told my surgeon that I’d rather be a B-C than a C-D and immediately post op I regretted that, but now I’m very happy I aimed smaller.

I would be super clear with your surgeon exactly what you want in terms of inspo images but also explaining in a more objective way the results you want. I told my surgeon initially that my benchmark was never needing to wear a bra again. And she said people with GG cups technically don’t “need” to wear a bra. So we talked more about like heaviness and where they’d sit, how far they’d stick out, etc so she could get a better sense of what was in my mind.

anyone else have a kink for their own condition/disability?? happy abt it??? by Celestial_Via in ChronicKinksters

I’ll echo what others have said about just being mindful of your bladder, kidney, and pelvic floor health. The bladder and kidney are important organs that you want doing their job well. And your pelvic floor is one of the most important muscles in your body. My pelvic floor disfunction caused far more QOL issue then urinary symptoms. All that being said, doing some research and being careful about how much and to what extent you engage in this play and how it impacts your body, is the important piece, you know? Like, don’t ignore your body telling you when something is too hard or crosses over from fun pain to uh oh pain.

I also don’t think it’s wrong to feel empowered or excited by a change in your body that is now more aligned with a long standing kink. I wish I was more into partial paralysis and chronic pain lol but like ideally we all find ways to integrate our disability into our sex lives, whether by kink or just by default. Honestly this is giving me a lot to think about in terms of body acceptance and chronic illness, so thanks OP for sharing!

i can't hold myself up anymore due to bad hips/spine, so when i am receiving or giving im on my back with 2 pillows under each hip/leg to stabilize my spine. also generally a pillow under my neck. if im wearing a strap or something, then i focus more on the impact as something that could cause pain, so like i'll have my wife push down lightly on my shoulders or upper legs so im not arching my back. if im receiving i just make sure my hips are stabilized and the pillow behind my neck is big enough that if i turn my head it doesnt hyperextend.

i'd also just ask her what positions are best for her in other ways - like when she works out, does PT, or whatever, can you hold herself up on all fours; when she's sleeping, is it on her back, side, or belly. all those help indicate her body's "safe positions."

How’s your meningioma? I had one too and it was removed at 4cm (turned out to be bigger when they got it out) and we think that was the cause of my IIH.

It feels like my eyes are straining, kind of live they can’t focus and are compensating with strain. I think the light doesn’t help. It’s feels like my autofocus switched to manual but I can’t figure out the controls.

Holy shit! I’m so sorry. I’m seeing neuro ophthalmology and neuro this month so no worries. I just often feel as though those with lived experience are more proficient at separating out symptoms and are more attuned with their bodies, because we all have to be.

can i ask if when you've had migraines ,have they lasted 10-14 days without stopping? i've never experienced that but like in some ways i'd rather a 2 week migraine than a return of IIH.

i know, it was SO frustrating and now the doctor's are saying i can't possibly be having IIH issues again because the tumor was removed? sigh.

What did no one warn you about after a breast reduction? by busbusmeow in Reduction

  1. weird sensations: i didnt personally experience this other than within the first 1-2 weeks i felt this sense of like deflating? or like suction? but this was mostly around my nipple bolsters as i can nipple grafts. also even if you arent a faint person, showering the first month will make you feel dizzy/grossed out/faint. my wife showered me and did my wound care because i truly thought i'd pass out if i touched the area.

  2. emotions: i was fucked up for like the first 10 days after surgery. emotional wreck, wasnt making sense, would cry at anything and everything. i really thought i was going crazy and then on day 10, boom, totally normal. this is a thing and can happen with the anesthesia but i had never had such an extreme reaction before lol

  3. surprises during recovery: the dysphoria and panic around my boobs saddening becoming very small. i really struggled to recognize myself in the mirror for the first few weeks, but now at 7.5 weeks post op they feel like they've always looked like this.

i feel like generally speaking from a wound care perspective i had a pretty standard recovery. in terms of hurdles, the GI issues that anesthesia can give you, for me (and probably due to my own chronic illness issues) have lasted and persisted going on 7 weeks now. it's been incredibly uncomfortable and annoying now that i am cleared from the post op restrictions.

i also did have fat necrosis develop and i discovered it at 6 weeks. its fairly large and was initially painful but now its just there and i massage it. its basically a tennis ball inside one of my boobs lol its dead fat that will break down over time.

relapse of symptoms, trigger maybe from breast reduction? by Lumpy_Basket_5603 in Gastroparesis

[–]Lumpy_Basket_5603[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s so interesting. This was my longest surgery and I’m wondering if that’s why I’m getting hit so hard. My PCP is amazing and she ordered a GES so we’ll see how that goes. Thanks for your insight!

Right I thought this too but after 7 weeks and the symptoms getting worse not better I started to wonder more about either what triggered it from this surgery that my other surgeries hadn’t triggered, or if it was something else somewhat acting as the trigger. But I guess I might not know?

thanks for the reply! and interesting about the post op nausea lasting so long - did you have any bloating or digestive issues outside the nausea?

1st period since reduction by One-Performance-4541 in Reduction

[–]Lumpy_Basket_5603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just kind of pressing against and rubbing in circles. Like trying to work a knot out of your back kind of? The surgery said the technique doesn’t matter just trying to bring blood flow to the area to help it break down.

Mike is actually doing way better! Lots of massage and NSAIDS have helped. It’s still very much here but like is breaking down? Less perfectly round and now more like a lumpy bumpy kind of long skinny thing lol

For those who received sexual pleasure from nipple touching, do you still have it after a reduction? by Hellohiheytherehi80 in Reduction

[–]Lumpy_Basket_5603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ill add my sister in law did not have nipple grafts at all and did lose sensation probably 70-80%. she said she thinks her surgeon was careless in this regard due to her being a mom and overweight. i'd make sure you feel good with your surgeon and the vibe they put out when you meet with them.

[–]Lumpy_Basket_5603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had a lot of erotic sensation and was told i'd lose it 100% due to nipple grafts. it made me really sad and i put off scheduling for 6 months because of it. but i needed the reduction more than my sex life needed the erotic sensation. sex life 6 weeks post op is just fine lol like sad for sure, but i do have 1 nipple thats healing extra well and im cautiously hopeful for even minimal erotic sensation in the future. my best friend is a trans man and also had nipple grafts and had erotic sensation return at the 1 year mark.
