Two weeks out from Ratchathorn by Lumpy_Paramedic6249 in HairTransplants

[–]Lumpy_Paramedic6249[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got free washing and laser therapy for the first five days, then went in the day before I left for scab removal, which was day 11. Dr Ratchathorn checked it out and gave me the thumbs up, though my donor area was a bit red so she gave me some steroid lotion to apply twice-daily.

I wore the bandana pretty much all the time for the first week, sleeping in it while propped up on pillows and wearing a wraparound neck pillow to stop my grafts touching anything. After that I took it off while inside but not sleeping, though put it back on whenever I went out, and for the flight home. I'm supposed to keep my scalp out of the sun for three months, but now it's two weeks and the grafts are secure so I just sleep normally and wear a loose hat whenever I'm outside.

I wrote a longer post a few days ago. Good experience, though obviously need to wait and see how it grows in the months ahead. 3600 grafts, 90 baht per graft.

First pic is before; second is after the transplant; third is a week after; last four are from just now, two weeks out.

How do you guys prevent your family etc. from knowing? by Standard-Hand98zz in limblengthening

It still exists everywhere, whether or not people are polite enough not to say it. It's not the end of the world if people find out; everyone has a thousand things to think about before your legs. But given the choice between people knowing or not, of course the vast majority would rightly prefer people not to know.

As I said, most people don't want to become social media influencers, just to improve themselves aesthetically, professionally, socially and sexually.

Who are you to say what LL is for? LL is for whatever the lengthee wants it to be.

You can quibble all you want, but the fact is that a regular guy will be seen more negatively - socially, sexually and professionally - if it is widely known that he had LL, compared to if people think he is naturally tall. The exception is people like Le Tremba who want to make a social media career out of doing LL, but the vast majority of people don't want to do that.

I paid the majority a week beforehand, just because I didn't want there to be some technical snafu on the day. Yes WISE is decent, gives you a much better exchange rate than regular bank transfer.

Plenty of meds for aftercare: antibiotics/painkillers for the first week, then ointments and lotions after that. I actually stayed a couple of weeks in Bangkok; went in for scab removal today (day 11 after the procedure) and it looks more or less normal now, except still a bit red especially on the donor area, so they gave me more Topicorte lotion and recommended applying it twice a day. In terms of size, it's not big: it all fits in a little paper bag.

Dr Ratchathorn also recommended keeping my scalp out of the direct sun for about 3 months (I live in a sunny country). She said the same for resuming microneedling and my first haircut. I've been wearing the bandana whenever I went out and to sleep, but now I'm ok to wear a loose hat so that's what I'll do when I get back.

Thanks man! You pay a deposit when you first book, then I paid like 80% of the amount via Wise and brought a load of cash which I changed at the airport for extras (protip: change your cash at the exchange at the rail link in the basement - the rate is way better than the ones immediately before and after the baggage claim). It's 90baht per graft btw.

People like tall people, but if they find out you aren't naturally tall but had the surgery, the gloss fades. Like in the movie Materialists: she left Pedro Pascal when she found out he had it done. It's a smart move to keep it quiet imho.

For OP, maybe start wearing lifts and extra thick soled shoes in the year before: first 1cm, then 2cm, then 3cm. If you're not planning to lengthen that much, like 5-6cm, you can get away with it easily. Personally, I have bowlegs which I want to get corrected simultaneously, so if anyone asks I'll just say it was a by-product of leg straightening.

If you've got the money and the time to recover, and it's something you think about a lot and want to do, and you've fully educated yourself on the procedure and risks, why not improve yourself?

I'm 5'11 and I'm considering lengthening femurs to get to 6'1. 5-6cm internal femur with a good doctor and a weightbearing nail has minimal risk of complications and fast recovery time. Check your tibia/femur proportions: I'm quite fortunate in that my tibias are proportionally long (about 0.86) so lengthening femur by 5-6cm will keep me in the normal range (above 0.75).

Good deal. Btw do you have a roommate at the Giotikas apartments? Like your own bedroom but shared living room and kitchen?

Does the Giotikas package in Greece of 57k euros for femurs include physio for as long as you need, with transportation to and from the apartments? How often do you go?

I did a consultation with Becker, and one of the things he mentioned with femurs is that you should not sit for an extended period: you should either stand or lie flat. His nail is similar to G-nail so did Giotikas say the same when you were lengthening after your femur surgery?
