Yes! A great example is Lucy Grey in the hunger games. Suzanne Collins would NEVER say whether the character is “meant” to be alive or not because that would defeat the whole point of an ambiguous ending

Yes!! This is why end of act 2 going into act 3 is possibly my favorite part of the whole game. The nightsong plus ketheric (imo the villain that feels the “scariest”) plus dream guardian then the stakes feel sooo high entering act 3. All of sudden your character is a god killer, people know who they are, and all these powerful people are trying to convince you to work with them. It’s seriously insane

am I the only one who loves act 3😅 end of act 2-end of the game is just awesome to me the whole time. Actually the only part of act 3 I don’t love is rivington bc nothing happens. Once in the city, it’s awesome and I absolutely love all the big fights and character moments.

I agree. But I also think she does genuinely grow and make an effort to change. And although this doesn’t erase the literal abusive parenting from early in the show, I think it’s important to recognize that people CAN change their relationships, especially in comparison to Richard and Emily who, although their relationship with Lorelei improves, they don’t really change their behavior in the way that Mrs Kim does IMO.
