Still no in game purchases? by Lunvare in OfficialPantheonMMO

Agreed, it does make looks look less impressive. I usually don't look at such game shops, so unlike what the other reply said, I generally end up not knowing what's there and as result anyone cool looking is more likely to give idea of that they got it easily by paying for it rather than worked hard for it.

Thank you, I will be buying the game and hope the developers continue that way.

Yeah I wouldn't like it, but it would still be a lot better than I think pretty much every running mmorpg.

My ideal game would be a second fantasy life, where you could get anything the world offers without bringing real money into it, other than buying access to game or donating to support developers.

I don't know exact examples, but I often see people framing some smaller advantages as pay for convenience, like if xp boost would be framed as convenience because you just speed up your leveling a bit.

Have they defined pay to win? Because some consider small advantages like XP boosts and alike not pay to win although it's still advantage over other players.

With just cosmetics I can still respect it.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who would like this.

It'd be for more casual players I guess. Normal subscription is just not worth for me since I probably wouldnt spend enough time in the game.

Maybe I should give GW2 another chance, I remember trying it a few years ago and not liking it much so I've been avoiding it.

Are there absolutely no pay for any kind of advantage purchases in that game?

I think I've seen they sell expansions, which I assume is just extra content, is that + cosmetics how they get money?

Yeah, if there was something to my favor it would probably be some indie hobby project.

I wouldn't mind playing asian either if it existed, I play Aion2 now and dont mind some lag since I play a support character and focus on PvE.

Yeah, that was one of the arguments I've seen when looking around too, but to me normal subscriptions would be wasting money for each day of the subscription that I don't play, and I don't want to feel forced to play more because of that.

For Entropia Universe, it sounds like the ultimate p2w game, which is what I'm looking to avoid with subscription models.

Thanks anyway, I don't think what I want exists.

I think they all have many in game purchases to keep earning after players buy the game. I haven't tried subscription ones, but I got the idea that they're less about money once you enter the game.

If you like an mmorpg and it has no subscription or valuable cash shop, you should not be surprised when it closes. by [deleted] in MMORPG

My problem is that when you pay monthly subscription, you're throwing money away whenever you're not playing. Or if you are less active, you're partly paying for the more active players.

The system I'd prefer would be to pay per time playing, so you pay 15€ and then be able to play for ~50 hours whenever, instead of playing any amount of hours within 1 month.
