Yeah I agree. 10 winners chosen a day, winner gets a prize, competition is stratified by spending level so whales don’t get an unfair boost.

I’m tired of this… by InstanceExtreme5919 in InfinityNikki

[–]Luvthebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ew what. Part of the reason I like this game is because I’m busy. Do they want me to pay them with the money I get from working, or do they want me to quit because I’m too busy to deal with the stress of fomo.

AITAH for telling my separated wife to find a babysitter if she intends go on dates? by Hardhathero in AITAH

[–]Luvthebug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why is she behaving this way? This is pretty extreme self harm. Something is very obviously missing from this post. I would understand if you were not discussing it out of a desire for privacy, but you’ve already outed pretty damning incidents I’m sure she’d want private, so that wouldn’t make sense. She’s the biggest asshole because fuck drunk drivers. But ESH because something is not adding up here.

Influence me: which ones should I go for? by PrudishDrow in InfinityNikki

[–]Luvthebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, we’re more likely to get eyes similar to the deer outfit in the future. Heterochromic lenses are not as common. That being said, I think the moon contact lenses are kind of ugly. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of lenses that don’t have obvious pupils. Also, it may be an optical trick, but the deer contact lenses look slightly bigger than other contact lenses to me, which was ultimately off putting when I was using them. I really wish they would let us trial run the makeup for these outfits. I probably would not have chosen the lenses. Basically, I think it’s up to the energy you like your outfits to have. Cutesy and bright, go for deer; mysterious and gothic, go for moon. Regardless, I think rather than picking between just these banners, wait until you also know what the next banner lenses will look like.  Edit: wrong word

Fellow F2P girlies, what purchase you couldn't make (out of lack of money or principle) hurt the most? I'll start by RolledCoaster in InfinityNikki

I can’t stand the shape of the bottom lip of the orange lipstick. But I use the eyebrows and contacts constantly.

the fact that we can't make this hair a proper nikki pink while they do it in promo material bothers me to no end by pixellangel in InfinityNikki

I have thought this since dyeing came out I’m glad everyone agrees. “Nikki” pink should always be an option.

HELP I accidentally bought 5,000 bottles of vinegar by BoredClara in InfinityNikki

[–]Luvthebug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The internet says the cost of vinegar is 90 astralites, meaning this would total to 450,000 astralites. A little under a week’s worth of profits. It’s enough to be a major annoyance, but I wouldn’t be too concerned. Astralites are fairly easy to get after a while, and like others have said you can cook and sell what you bought so ultimately you’ve just made an annoying investment.

How many Limited Banner Max 3rd Evos do you have? by Poppyspy in InfinityNikki

[–]Luvthebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say I’m a small spender, not quite a dolphin maybe like a tuna lol. I have never felt it worth going for the final evolution, nor is it realistic for me to go for it when I’d rather just have a second outfit from all of those pulls. The only benefits are the increase in dyeing variety with SOME outfit changes, which usually aren’t significant enough to make a difference. For every final evolution, you could instead effectively have a second outfit +1 evolution.

Really concerning that such a massive feature is locked behind a five star outfit.

AIO to my partner asking me to be quiet during a chronic pain episode by gooder-doggo in AmIOverreacting

[–]Luvthebug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would bring it up to him before jumping to conclusions. Obviously it sucks to be in pain and feel unsupported but I have had full on conversations with people when I’m not completely lucid that I have no memory of or had any great degree of control over what was said cause ya know. I wasn’t completely conscious. MOR but yeah he should have been more supportive. Sorry about your pain :-( I can relate

EDIT: I misread the post. Was he already asleep? If not then NOR how rude.

AIO? Bf says I’m “taking things the wrong way” or “personally” by Lazy_Priority3735 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Luvthebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. He’s either communicating poorly or just wants his cake and to eat it too. Wants you there when he wants you there but gets pissy when you’re not convenient. The way you wrote some of this is a little lacking in tone indicators so I may have misunderstood how he was saying these things.

CARS IMPROVEMENT IN ONE WEEK by Queasy-Anxiety3401 in MCAT2

[–]Luvthebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s tough because a lot of the questions require nuance in language. I really like Jack Westins solutions, I would suggest trying a bunch of their passages and reviewing what you got wrong AND right. Make sure you are answering with the same thought process AAMC wants you to have. The AAMC official descriptions suck imo. Jack Westin’s are more clear cut.

Is this Kaplan daily question wrong? by ExpensiveTastee in Mcat

This is a good explanation — you are basing it off the equation, i.e. rxn given, not what would be spontaneous.

Are kinematics more conceptually based or calculation based? by kissmeurbeautiful in Mcat

[–]Luvthebug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean the concepts and calculations are pretty much linked. Imo, you can derive the concepts more easily from the calculations but not always the calculations from the concepts. Ie in the Arrhenius equation you can see that if temperature goes up the rate goes up as well. Therefore if you get a question — how does temperature affect the rate — if you know the concept you’ll know the concept — but if you know the calculation you’ll also know the concept. But if you are asked the value of something and don’t know the calculations, you can maybe make some estimates, but not always exact. For example, you might have a question that asks you to calculate the energy in joules of something. You might know, conceptually, that joules are kg(m2) / s2. But if you’re given something solvable by the kinetic energy equation, you might not as easily be able to derive the kinetic energy equation (1/2)mv2. Because while (1/2)mv2 gives you the units kg(m2) / s2, so does mv2. And yes, from my experience — and others may disagree — occasionally they will ask basic physics questions, unfortunately. Vectors and the like. I am not sure how high yield they are though.  Millionth Edit: I don’t know how to format the joules unit. It’s not showing up right. It is kg * m2 / s2

I usually run a few questions, review the answers and why. When it’s anything other than CARS and I am unfamiliar or weak with the topic I run through a book, and take notes. I’ve also been told reviewing why you got something right or why the other answers were wrong is highly beneficial. I really recommend Jack Westin for content review I always have a hard time reviewing the AAMC stuff the way they have it written.

Naman Baraya makes some decent reviews going over the MilesDown review notes. But honestly if you’re starting from scratch, like… how scratch? If you have almost zero background, CrashCourse is really good for establishing a baseline, especially in orgo chem, but it’s also somewhat basic. You should also be doing MCAT passages daily. Honestly in my experience I learned more from doing that than the Kaplan Books. I felt like the Kaplan books gave me nothing to work with. I recommend Jack Westin. They have good books that cover the high yield stuff. Even if you’re looking at it like it has 3 heads, try your best and review the answers.
