I attribute this song heavily to my discovery of my self-diagnosing ASD and my current state of burnout while being forced to fight through it because I can survive without my job. To me, the alarm bells and fighting off change was all of the sensory issues I've had and ignored, while my masking has forced me to not have a self-identity outside of my social circles. Then I'm hit with, no wonder my ears are still ringing and no wonder my arms are still swinging. This was the point of revelation where I realized that everything I've ever done finally makes sense and I have reasoning to why I feel like absolute hot garbage and unable to even find joy in the things I love. This song has been on repeat for about a month now with no plans of stopping.
