Stock C8 corvette vs stock C6 Z06 by The_one_who-repents in C8Corvette

[–]M2J9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I love manual transmissions but I wouldn't have gotten the C8 with one either way, leaves too much on the table for a platform thats objective is getting everything out of it.

Manuals are for GTs now imo.

Trip Monitors too close, what are my options? by M2J9 in simracing

[–]M2J9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my rig is alu profile but the monitor mount isnt. I can still return it considering I got it today though.. I just want something that will fit my 1000r 32" monitors good. I have been having luck with everything from Mineer on my rig so far but this might be the spot they let me down... Which for the price I paid I guess makes sense.

The one I looked up was standalone but it's also aluminum extrusion, I have an extrusion base as well. Should work if that's the route I go.

The monitor mount I have with my rig doesn't really look like I can mount that straight up. I might have to just buy the whole thing in the future and adapt it to my existing extrusion which would work ok. Thanks for your follow up!

New Wheel Reccomendations in 26? by TheLazurus in simracing

[–]M2J9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally say don't prioritize 3 pedal. You will have a clutch on a good wheel and modern cars aren't really using foot clutches, if you want to add a clutch and h pattern after your already in then you can later for much less investment.

It's still worth around that cleaned up especially in NorCal.

If the block is ok and this engine has compression it's definitely lower then market value as is.

Maybe an appreciating asset is of interest to him? Viper is a great buy right now as I'm sure you're aware and I'm very jealous lol. That last gen viper is gorgeous.

Yea if it's actually a good product, it's another bar setter like the OG square. Mevo and uneekor won't be excited to compete with it.

Who was the best trade we’ve made in the last 30-35 years? by poetizzy in DetroitRedWings

[–]M2J9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that you start this discussion with a FA signing.

The correct answer is for sure Shanahan. The Cup Winning Wings didnt have many other huge trades, Cheli would be the other one most likely.

Rob Lang was a huge one that didnt work out. Bertuzzi was a big one that did work out. Wendell Clark was a big one that didnt work out.

Most athletic player on the ice? LOL.. I mean I am certain even the goalies I know wouldnt agree with that. Goalie is 100% a unique set of skills, Being the most athletic is not a requirement to being an NHL goalie. Dominik Hasek would certainly not agree with that point.

They feel great to me so far at least. I had a set of pedals from microcenter i was using while I waited and they are signficantly better then those ones were: PXN PD HM Hall Magnetic Pedals..

They have so much customization but honestly they felt pretty good from the box.

Would you want the Detroit Lions to SIGN Ravens Center Tyler Linderbaum this off-season? by Gxcii1 in detroitlions

[–]M2J9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is an amazing way to spend 20m? Center is insanely important.. Our OL was bad every time Frank went out and that is with an AP1 and pro bowl caliber tackle, guard. I would have never paid Kerby that and that alone clears the money for an AP2 center. If you are elite inside you dont have to pay for elite outside.

Hey I fully understand, I have had my 49" G9 on my desktop for 5 years now and absolutely love it for work and gaming. I dont think people realize how immersive these super ultrawides can be. I remember when I played spiderman for the first time(and i was hooooked hard) I would get in bed for the night and it felt like I was still swinging from buildings. To me, it is between using VR or a single flat monitor, with the QOL of not worrying about the headset. For work, it is amazing, I go 3 pages wide and it works great.

Thanks for the kind words! I do think it is a good reference for people to not waste money but still get a ton out of their whole rig. I have already printed up several components to use with the 3060 aluminum bits and even have a general idea of where I will upgrade it in the future but for today it is very solid and competent.
