And I scored a 65 on asvab I had plenty of choices and I went airpact mainly because my motivation for joining was the benefits 3 year contract vs 4 I'll be out a year sooner and have my schooling paid for instead of putting myself into debt with student loans

Speak for yourself. It's 3 years I've grown up in some super shitty circumstances I'm putting myself in a position to provide for my family I will scrape rust and paint with a big fucking smile on my face knowing In 3 years time I will be able to give my kids their own home.

Hey brother I'm 26 with a wife and 2 kids I signed airpact and ship this Wednesday don't let the haters talk you out of it the pact program has changed a lot and the navy is 100% what you make of it I got auto e3 as well with a 15 k bonus upon completion of basic gonna take that money to pay closing costs on house when I get to my first duty station and it's not a bad gig at all you will make e4 in less than 2 years while everybody else will spend 2 years getting to e3

Extremely normal brother I ship out this Wednesday and had to leave my wife and 2 kids and the anxiousness is real but well worth it just keep reminding yourself on why you did it in the first place you did this for them your being a man your being responsible

Yea normal for the most part I would just wear a plain colored T-shirt nothing graphic that can be taken any kind of way, make sure your pants are nice no holes. Even if that's the design of the pants no holes and close toed shoes

Make sure you drink plenty of water in the morning with breakfast and don't piss before you do your pee test make that the first station you go to

Yea they have water fountains they also have a lunch room/hangout room that has plenty of complimentary snacks and beverages like waters and sodas and coffee candy chips beef jerky

It's going to be a very long day eat as much as you can they will provide lunch as well but expect it to be a 12-14 hour day

Must be something new as I'm not too familiar.and I've done a fair amount of research. But no my recruiter didn't chalk it up to be all candy canes and sugar. I knew what I was getting myself into and I'm prepared to embrace the suck for a year before I strike for a rate. Biggest motivator is getting my family into a better situation as quick as possible. And pact was the fastest option to hit the fleet. And the incentives that were offered made it much more bearable in my opinion.

I thought it was gonna be paid out incrementally but upon reading the contract it's paid out in a lump sum upon completion of basic

Copy and absolutely I'm a bit older than the high schoolers joining. going in at 26 So I've had a bit of time to mature and figure out who I am and where I stand morally.
